General Overview

We love that our Bad Gastein home is a peaceful base in the mountains, where we can step outside and immediately feel the fresh alpine air. The light, the views and the ever‑changing mountain weather make every day feel a bit special and different. It’s cozy without being cramped, so we can relax with a book, cook together or just sit and enjoy the quiet after a day outside. We especially appreciate that everything is within easy reach – walks, skiing or a quick trip into town – and then we return to a calm and comfortable space that truly feels like a retreat.

We are a married couple in our early sixties who love to travel and discover new places. I am a pharmacist and self‑employed in IT services with my own company, so with a good internet connection my office can be anywhere. My husband is retired, and I am an active member of the Rotary Club Bad Vilbel in Germany, which reflects how important trust and community are for us. We especially love Ireland and Scotland, and we also enjoy spending time in our second home in Bad Gastein, Austria, which we are happy to offer for home exchange. We are non‑smokers, very respectful with other people’s homes and always leave everything clean and tidy.
