General Overview

We live in a valley, surrounded by mountains. We are close to Lake Dunstan, which is a lovely place to walk along in the early mornings or spend the day there with a bbq in summer. Cromwell is small, which means you'll be close to everything you need! We have wineries, cellar doors (can recommend a few favorites), along with a few restaurants and playgrounds for the kids! The town centre has a library and pool too. Being so close to Queenstown also means you have easy access to the adventure capital without the hefty cost of accommodation. The Gondola & Luge are always a favorite and never disappoint, especially because of the views! Kingpin is loads of fun for everyone with bowling, arcade games, VR, pool, escape rooms, karaoke, food and a bar. There is also Site (indoor trampoline), wall climbing, Thrillzone, and Chipmunks (kids indoor play world) and much more! For the bigger kids (adults and teens), check out The Playground in Arrowtown. Queenstown also has a 'hop on, hop off' bus , which takes you to wineries around the area for a small charge. Gibbston Valley is definitely worth spending time soon if wine is your thing! Arrowtown boasts some of the best restaurants and is a lovely spot for lunch, a wine or a stroll through its historic town and of course, a stop at Remarkable Sweets is a must for those with a sweet tooth! Queenstown has all your shopping needs sorted if some retail therapy is required, both in Frankton (area close to airport) or in the town centre itself. The town centre has loads of amazing restaurants and pubs too. If you get the chance to go over the hill from Queenstown to Wanaka (Crown Range), ensure you have ample time as a stop at the historical Cardrona Hotel is a must! One of the best places for a beer or wine stop, they also serve lunches and dinner. There is also horse riding in Cardrona along with the Cardrona Ski Fields and Snow Farm for cross country skiing or some fun for the littlest ones! The Cardrona Distillery is also a stop for those who enjoy spirits. Wanaka is a beautiful and peaceful spot for lunch, an ice cream or hot chocolate at Patagonia or a walk and play along the lake at the Dinosaur Park.

The Space

Family home offering 4 bedrooms to accommodate 6 people comfortably. One extra mattress is available for kids to sleep on in one of the bedrooms. Two bedrooms can accommodate extra's, so please get in touch to check what we can do to accommodate groups of up to 10 people. The main bedroom has an ensuite and the main bathroom has a shower & bath. Our home has a patio space out front with a grassed play area complete with trampoline. There is a quieter space at the back of the home with fruit trees and a smaller grassed area for downtime, but this also catches the afternoon sun so is a lovely reading spot. We have foosball and ping pong available too, along with some games. Cromwell is situated 40 minutes from Queenstown and 40 minutes from Wanaka, making it the perfect spot to relax away from the crowds, or after a long day up the ski fields. We are a short drive or walk from the town centre, where you'll find supermarkets, restaurants and play grounds. We have some lovely cellar doors in our area too and can recommend a places to see and things to do. We would treat your home with love and respect and would ask the same from you in our home. We have a cat and a dog, but only the cat would need caring for as our dog would stay with friends. She is fairly easy to care for and loves company. We also love indoor plants and would ask if you could occasionally water ours :)
