We live in the beautiful state of Michigan, surrounded by the Great Lakes. It's most beautiful in the spring, summer and fall, but winter has its charm! Hiking, biking, beaches, museums, music, and more! Our 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath, home is in a quintessentially lovely American small town, Chelsea. Walk to the park, playgrounds, theater, the farmer’s market, the grocery, the library, free summer concerts, art exhibits, restaurants and shopping. Lake Michigan is a 2-hour drive and has some of the topped-ranked fresh water beaches in the United States. Detroit is 45 minutes away and that means world-class museums like The Henry Ford, the Detroit Institute of Arts, and the Motown Museum, as well as Broadway shows and concerts by the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and other renown performers. Ann Arbor, home to the University of Michigan, is 20 minutes away. There you’ll find concerts, lectures, theatre, excellent restaurants, shopping, and more. For weekend excursions, drive north to Mackinac Island, south to Cincinnati, or take the train or bus west to Chicago. And Canada is only 60 minutes away, too! Our town is the gateway to the Big 400. Hiking, biking, camping, and swimming. We're a central cog in the B2B trail system, connecting the eastern side of our county to the western and northern borders of our county.

We have 3 bedrooms. The master bedroom has a queen bed. The 2 other bedrooms have double beds. We have 2 bathrooms and a WC. We have a lovely backyard with a deck for eating outdoors. Our kitchen is well-prepared for cooking.

3 floors. 3-4 steps to enter our home. Washing machine in basement level (14 steps).

We'd be glad to meet for a drink/aperitif/dinner. We could give you a walking tour of our town or Ann Arbor. We can provide a place to stay for a night if you're on your way to another PLU or location. We can also provide info and tips about many places in Michigan.

Member description
We hope to exchange again in 2022! We are retired! We love to travel. Especially in Europe. We have exchanged, so far, one time, with a family from the Loire Valley in France. It was a wonderful experience and we hope to do many more! We had a second one set up for June 2020, but unfortunately, the pandemic interrupted! We like to hike, relax, go to museums, libraries, parks. We like to cook, so we can offer a complete kitchen for you, too! My husband is a musician and I like to write and photograph.
