Neighbourhood

Barrington is a great quiet town. The Neighbourhood is extremely friendly. Everyone knows each other. Our primary house in the summer is across the street so we are on site certainly over the weekends. It is not a rowdy neighborhood. It’s very safe great for biking and across the street. There is a wonderful river for water sports. There is a bike path that’s about a 10 minute bike ride away which can take you down to Bristol, which is a beach town. There are great public beaches all within a 10 to 15 minute drive and a ton of water activities around. the winter is kind of sleepy but it’s a 15 minute drive to Providence, Rhode Island, where Brown University is located as well as the Rhode island school of Design. Providence is a very foodie place and lots to see. Bristol nearby has a great town beach and Colt State Park and tons of areas for boating and sailing. And of course Newport is fantastic in summer and off season too. Tons to see all around.

Nearest airport

Providence Greenfield airport is approximately 20 minute drive, Boston airport is approximately one hour and 10 minute drive

Getting Around

They will have to use a car or I guess they could bike, but I would recommend a car

Sareh

My husband and I are both surgeons and Professors and love to travel. We had two adult boys who have active lives but sometimes like to travel with us. We are an active family into adventure travel and have a passion for water sports especially sailing. Right now we work very full time so we have less flexibility but would love to plan ahead. We are a tidy family and keep a clean house and would be very respectful of your home and would expect the same.
