General Overview

La Clape is a preserved place between the sea and the garrigue, near Narbonne. From the house, it is possible to go for walks. The sea is 10 minutes away by car, Narbonne too. The surrounding villages are worth a visit for their charm, their restaurants and their art galleries (Bages, Peyriac de Mer, Sigean, etc.). From Narbonne, it is easy to reach by train Sète (1/2 hour), Montpellier (1 hour), Barcelona (2 hours).

The Space

The house is typical of the region. It is located in the heart of the village, in a small street and overlooks an inner courtyard thanks to its terraces.

Guest Access

On 2 floors, we climb a spiral staircase to go from the ground floor (living room, 1 bedroom, bathroom, inner courtyard), to the first floor (2 bedrooms, bathroom, terrace) to reach the second floor (kitchen, living room and roof terrace).

Neighbourhood

The village has a bakery, a butcher's shop, a small convenience store for everyday products. On Wednesdays a butcher offers his products, on Friday mornings it is a local fisherman who comes to sell the fruit of his catch. In summer, a local producer offers fruit and vegetables.

Getting to my home

It is possible to get to Narbonne by train but access to the village requires a vehicle (public buses serve the village but at an infrequent frequency).

ISA & JEAN

I am 60 years old and I am a teacher-researcher. I travel alone, as a couple or with friends because now my children are grown! For several years of exchanges, we are used to discovering the big cities of Europe that we explore by bike or on foot to visit contemporary art museums, take walks in gardens and parks, stop in small typical restaurants... We have already carried out several home exchanges with Brighton, Berlin, Madrid, Hamburg and Amsterdam, Paris, Montpellier, several stays in Brittany. Beyond that, we like to discover regions by hiking. Home exchange allows you to immerse yourself even more pleasantly in the special atmosphere of each place.
