Horseshoe Bend in Arizona—the start of the Grand Canyon
Skimboarding is a popular sport here and (depending on water levels) you can try it in our backyard on the Virgin River!
Brian Head Ski Resort is 81 miles away and takes about 1:20 to get there—if you come in February/March you could ski one day and mountain bike the next!
This is one boardwalk directly behind our home and across the river—it is part of the city bike trail with 25+ miles of connected paths. The path starts right at our driveway!
Mountain bike trails (beginner to advanced) are everywhere here. A few of our favorites and how long of a drive to get there: (if we have the right size bikes and I’m in town, I can transport you over and back!)
• Grapevine Trailhead: 10-minutes
• Secret Sauce Trail: 15-minutes
• Bear Claw Poppy & Zen Trails: 20-minutes
• Snake Bite Bike Park: 25-minutes
The Ropes of Southern Utah—a super fun ropes course is 18 minutes away!
North Rim of the Grand Canyon is open from mid-May to mid-October and is a 3-hour drive.
Snow Canyon State Park is a 30-minute drive, and feels like a mini-Zion! Sand Dunes to play in, slot canyons and lava tubes/caves to explore, and miles and miles of trails!

Zion National Park—the Narrows Hike! Best time of year to hike this is in September, but you can hike it after spring floods (~May) through October, depending on water levels and weather conditions. Plan on renting water shoes and a hiking stick to help you handle the cold water and slippery rocks!
