General Overview

Architectural villa next to fields and forest and yet only 15 minutes from the Centre of Copenhagen (the capital of Denmark)

The Space

We offer a large and beautiful house, awarded for its streamlined 60ies architectural style. The house has one master bedroom, and three separate bedrooms, as well as two bathrooms. We have a dining room, and a large living room with an open fireplace and a grand piano. Furthermore, kitchen and washing room. All the rooms have glace from floor to roof so you almost feel like being outside in the large garden all the time. We have a shared tennis court at the end of our road that you are welcome to use.

Guest Access

We have 3 beds - one is a double bed where you can easily sleep two (the parents room) and then we have two 1,5 persons beds where you can also sleep two persons (best if you like each other..:)) + a supplementary madras to put on the floor.

Notes

We have done many very successful house exchanges (on homeforexhange webpage) in France, England, California and Praque respectively and are now looking forward to try once again :) Home exchange has become our absolute favorite way of travelling! We have 3-5 hens which needs fresh water and food every second day in return for fresh eggs every day:) If you want to travel away from the house overnights my parents can easily look after the hens. We are looking forward to share our house with you and would be very happy to help you pass a wonderful vacation at our place. My parents who live close by will be happy to assist you in any way. They speak both French, English and German - as do we (albeit our German is not impressing:))

Neighbourhood

We live in a green suburb just outside Copenhagen city - on the motorway it is less than 15 minutes by car (or bus) to the city. Our house borders fields with horses and the forest, and 5 minutes away is Dyrehaven, a UNESCO forest with a small hunting castle in the middle. 10 minutes away is Øresund, the Sund between Denmark and Sweden, and when you drive up the coast the really good beaches start 40 minutes away. Shops are close by too and the city of Lyngby - our town - is cosy with lots of cafees and shops as well as an old church.

Getting to my home

Public transport is in close reach of the house - 7 minutes walk to the bus that takes you to Copenhagen in less than 20 minutes.

Nearest airport

Copenhagen airport is 20 minutes from the city centre with the metro and then 20 minutes with the bus from the city center to our house.

Getting Around

There is a bus 6-7 minutes away that take you quickly to Copenhagen. The train is in Lyngby centre, 15 minutes by foot.

We have done a lot of very successful home-exchanges already and are open for all offers within Europe. We prefer not to fly so therefore overseas exchanges are very limited for us.
