We're a family of four living in the wonderful seaside community of Portobello, Edinburgh. Our home is only a minute on foot from the beach and the beautiful promenade.   

Portobello is a bustling, vibrant and friendly neighbourhood, just 20 minutes away from the centre of Edinburgh by bus or train. There are plenty of local shops, restaurants and bakeries...and of course fish & chip shops!   

The house is well placed in East Edinburgh, giving easy access to the city and out to the glorious East Lothian beaches. We have a fully enclosed, secluded back garden, perfect for enjoying the hot tub.   

I am a graphic designer, and my husband is a concrete specialist - hence the concrete sofa in the garden!

The Space

The house is all on one level. 2 livingrooms (1 has a workspace in), a kitchen diner, 2 double bedrooms and a bedroom with bunkbeds. There's a showerroom and a bathroom. The garden is fully enclosed with a hot tub, seating areas and a space to have a bbq/fire.

Getting to my home

Easy access by train, or air.

Nearest airport

Edinburgh Airport is half an hour by taxi. Or about an hour by regular public transport.

Getting Around

There is a corner shop 1 minute away. Other shops, cafes and bars are ten minutes walk along the promenade. Regular buses and trains go into Edinburgh city centre, which is about 20 minutes away.

Hi, we're the Grays. There are four of us, and we live by the seaside in Edinburgh.  I'm from London, and my husband is from Lancashire...but we've both lived in Scotland for most of our lives! We have two kids, 12 & 16, and love travelling. We love food, design and beaches. We've spent lots of holidays in Italy, and just been to Japan.
