General Overview
Compared to the UK standards, where we've spent two decades, our Silesian Polish home is massive. It has a garden to the back and to the front, a driveway that can fit a car or two. Kids love their rooms; we have enough space to store the books. I love it, for the history too; it was built in 1970, by a mine foreman who really loved the place. In the summer, we sit under the chestnut tree, sipping coffee in the cool shade. The place is full of children, and in the summer, if friends come over, the kids play their games all around the garden.
The Space
The building has two floors. On the ground floor, there is a kitchen, bathroom, living room, and a 1-bedroom with two large beds.
On the upper floor, there are 3 bedrooms, another bathroom, and an office with a broadband speed of up to 600 mbps. There is also a space in the mezzanine, with a bookshelf and a small sofa.
Guest Access
Mind you, there are steps at the entrance. Unfortunately, as of jan 2026, the house is not wheelchair friendly.

Hi, we are a family of six. We live in Poland, in the city of Rybnik. Our house is usually quite busy with friends and family, yet we would love to meet/accommodate other families or travel around.
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
