Neighbourhood

Meredith is one of the quintessential New England townships. A former mill town, the whistle still blows at 12h01 every day, as well as for firehouse and EMT call outs. The area is a boon to outdoor activity: Winter - downhill skiing, ice fishing, pond hockey, snow shoeing, or hiking with microspikes April - mud season!!! June - Bike week! Summer and Fall - hiking, swimming, kayaking, boating if you already have a slip on Lake Winnipesaukee Dine at Laconia steakhouses or try Canoe in Center Harbor for creamy lobster Mac n cheese Gusto, also in Center Harbor is good for breakfast lunch and dinner Georges is a quick one mile walk in the town center for breakfasr

Nearest airport

Boston Logan International Airport is two hours by car, one toll booth along the way. New Hampshire has pay online capabilities for the tolls MHT Manchester regional airport is an hour by car and I93 passes thru the same toll at Hooksett The Marriotts and wrestling legend Triple H probably land their private planes at the Laconia airport

Getting Around

The house is an easy mile walk from the town center with places to eat and the grocery store. It’s a slower mile back home up the gradual hill to get back No bus or public transportation, almost zero taxi service, and as mentioned the riding sharing services such as Uber or Bolt have not penetrated this seminal, semi rural, semi urban area. There are, however, several private cars services such as JCN shuttle Turo or a rental car are the best options
