Marleen

We are a family of four: Arjan (54), Marleen (56) and our children Ellenoor (21) and Leander (19). We live in a quiet suburb of Enkhuizen, an old port town and fishing village on the IJsselmeer, about a 50-minute drive north of Amsterdam. The slightly larger city of Hoorn is only a 20-minute drive away and also has a historic center. On the other side of the IJsselmeer, via the dike (about a 20-minute drive), is Lelystad, where the large outlet center 'Batavia Stad' is located. Enkhuizen has a large open-air museum and a small amusement park for young children. In summer, you can take the ferry to Stavoren on the other side of the IJsselmeer, or take the steam tram from Hoorn to Medemblik. In Medemblik there is a small medieval castle. In the spring, beautiful tulip fields can be seen in the area for a short period of time. We would like to explore more of Europe but are also open to other countries. We love cycling and walking in nature, but also city trips. And we like to visit amusement parks.
