Neighbourhood
Our neighborhood has several families with young children on the same block who are very friendly and will often have joint play time on the sidewalks in front of our houses. We’re located at the border of El Cerrito and Richmond, in a quiet residential neighborhood, but only a couple of minutes drive to wonderful restaurants and cafes (I’m very much a foodie and happy to recommend my local favorite spots for Thai, Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese, coffee, patisserie, croissants, and bagels).
Nearest airport
Oakland International (OAK) is about a 30 minute drive and San Francisco International (SFO) is about a 45 minute drive. Both are accessible via public transit BART and the closest BART station is 1.5 miles away.
Getting Around
We have a bus stop 3 blocks from the house or are about 5 minutes by car to the nearest BART station. This is a residential neighborhood about three blocks away from a large commercial street. There are stores within walking distance, but keep in mind that our street is a bit hilly.
You could rely on BART to get to Berkeley, Oakland, San Francisco, and other nearby areas (the BART station is a 25 minute walk or a 5 minute bus ride or Uber/Lyft away).
