Neighbourhood
This neighborhood is a vibrant place with all kinds of interesting restaurants, specialty food shops, bakeries, boutiques, galleries, gyms and spas. It is one of (if not the most) sought-after neighborhoods in town, not only for its proximity to the river and networks of biking/walking trails, but also for its community focus. People take pride in supporting local businesses and the community center is thriving. There is a grocery store right across the street and an excellent farmer's market within a 10-minute walk.
Nearest airport
Ottawa International Airport is 20 minutes by car. The O Train will connect from this neighborhood to the airport by 2023. Montreal's Pierre Elliot Trudeau Airport is 2 hours away. There is a train connection to Ottawa.
Getting around
Almost everything can be done on foot or by bicycle. Walkscore rates the walkability of the neighborhood at 92 (out of 100) and bikeability at 99. Two bus routes stop right in front of our building, one of which takes you directly to Parliament and the National Gallery. Ottawa's new light rapid rail system (known as the O-Train) can be reached by a pleasant 12 minute walk or by the two buses. Trains run every four minutes and will get you to the downtown core (including the ByWard Market) in 5 minutes. The O-Train will get you to the main railway station (with connections to Montreal and Toronto) in less than 10 minutes.
