Neighbourhood
There are lots of cafes/pubs and the city centre/Opera House/Botanical Gartdens/NSW Art Gallery is a pleasant 20-25 minute walk. The Gay Mardigras Parade venue/precinct is within 10 minute walk. The Brett Whitely gallery and White Rabbit Gallery are a short cycle ride to Surry Hills/Chippendale. There is an ever improving cycling path network and I love it. Bondi Beach is a 30 minute cycle or bus ride similar time - bus stop nearby. Harbour pool closer - Redleaf- ablolutely gorgeous.
Nearest airport
Kingsford Smith Sydney Airport- 35 minutes by train.
Getting Around
Supermarket is around the block. Buses going to Bondi and other beaches just around the corner. I usually run to Redleaf Beach for a swim - about 2-3km each way.
Trains wil take you to the iconic Blue Mountains, south to beautiful country town of Berry( and near Kangaroo Valley), or north to Newcastle and beyond.
I love cycling and if you really want to see Sydney this is an excellent way to do it. Bypass all the parking/traffic jam nonsense and see things you would otherwise miss.
It really is very central.

People Like Us Local Guide
My home is about a 25 minute walk to the city/Opera House/Art Gallery of NSW, Botanical Gardens, LGBTIQ+ museum, George Street/Town Hall. Bondi is a 30 minute cycle or similar time on the bus. It's a 5 minute walk to train lines that will take you in 5 minutes to the CBD, 2-3 hours to the Blue Mountains, south to Berry or north to Newcastle and beyond. A car is not required to get around from this area. In fact cycling is ideal. Lots of local cafes, some quirky art galleries I can direct you to! I have a little cat who is very easy and it would be great if you are able to care for her for all or some of the time you are staying.

I have just retired! I am an active healthy single woman with many interests including Salsa dancing, learning French and connecting with good people! I I have two fantastic sons and I am about to become a grandmother! In my spare time I write songs and pop them on Spotify.
Now that I am free from the confines of work in early childhood nursing, I have a lot more flexibility with dates and locations but Paris is highest on the list! Actually Mexico would be great too!
I hosted a lovely young man from the Netherlands this year. We had a terrific time!
