General Overview

Comfortable house (groundfloor) in a rural area but 10 - 15 minutes by car to the center of Palma and the beaches around, very convenient to explore the island, as the motorway is 4 min away by car. 

There is a small garden to soak up the sun, good street parking, very quiet, only neighbors to one side, the other side is field. Son Sardina is like a small village but is a part of Palma.

The Space

From the garden, you enter the living room, from where you reach the dormitory, the bathroom and the kitchen, and through the kitchen the other rooms.

Guest Access

Only ground floor, no stairs or steps. Access through the garden, at the end of a dead-end-street/cul-de-sac,  so very quiet.

Getting Around

Good public transport into Palma, not so good to get to other parts of the island, as this is generally difficult on Mallorca. There are always connections but takes a long time, depending on where you wanna go.

Absolutely gorgeous home! The house was very welcoming and Steffi had left really clear and helpful instruction on where to find things and how to operate the white goods etc. We are both very keen hikers so the location was amazing for heading out to the various hiking trails around the area along with the excellent amenities of Palma.

The house of Steffi and her daughter is located in a tiny village outside Palma, at the perfect distance from the airport: not too close that you can hear the planes but at a very pleasant distance. It is located in a neighborhood with a mix of expats and locals which makes this place so wonderful! Not the busy streets and beaches on your doorstep, but everything within a stone's throw drive. You need a car anyway on Mallorca to see all the beautiful beaches and azure blue sea from all sides. We really enjoyed our stay and the children's pool what a wonderful addition! We were there in the hottest time, August, but still eating outside under the cool shelter with the breeze going over the field a very pleasant way to wait out the heat on the beach. The garden has beautiful plants, and you look over the field of a farmer behind. 1 tip is: bring earplugs because this countryside also brings the enthusiastic roosters and chickens that wake up at the crack of dawn and want to wake you up too ;-) In short, a very pleasant stay with shops, beaches and everything you could want nearby. However, don't forget to drive a few times a little further away, looking for the 'calas', the bays that make Mallorca so special.
