General Overview
Playa de Arinaga is a quiet and safe coastal town in the southeast of Gran Canaria (the average temperature ranges from 22 C in winter to 27 C in summer). The area, rich in marine fauna, makes it ideal for snorkeling and scuba diving. As well as other water activities, or simply to sunbathe and relax on the free platforms installed on the coast or on its small beach. It also has a natural pool without waves. It has a promenade of 4 kms., ideal for walking or playing sports by the sea. There are numerous good restaurants with prices for natives, bars, supermarkets, shops and other services open every day.
-15 min. from the airport
-20 min from great beaches such as Maspalomas, Playa del Inglés, Amadores and Anfi del Mar.
-25 min. from Las Palmas G.C. (capital)
-30 min. from Puerto Rico
-35 min. from the famous Puerto de Mogán.
-1 hour from Roque Nublo and the center of the island.
Arinaga is ideal for its location as a logistical base to get to know the rest of the island, no destination is more than 1 hour away by car. The ideal is to rent a car and tour the entire route. It is easy, safe and interesting to see the contrast of the south coast area with its golden beaches, the less touristy northern area with its black volcanic sand beaches and the trails in the mountains of the interior of the island, full of vegetation and breathtaking views.
Playa de Arinaga has a mostly native population, which allows you to learn more about Canarian culture. And not to feel the burden of the overcrowding of the most touristic areas, but at the same time to have the most important beaches of Gran Canaria nearby.
The Space
It is a renovated apartment of 100 m2, with sea view from a small balcony and 20 meters from a long promenade. It has 3 bedrooms, one master with a king bed and the other two with a queen and single bed respectively. 2 bathrooms (1 en-suite with the master bedroom). A very spacious living room and a well equipped kitchen.
The apartment has a minimalist approach. Except in the kitchen, all the furniture is open and with few drawers. We didn't want excessive decoration. We give priority to everything that facilitates quick cleaning. Being so close to the sea, we wanted to avoid at all costs the humidity caused by the sea breeze in the closed furniture.
If you like coffee, you will have no problem, there are 3 types of coffee maker: capsule, drip and Italian. There is also a kettle for tea.
You will find the apartment very clean. Cleanliness is important to us, we hope to find your home the same.
It is a very quiet building, with only 6 apartments, where you will only hear the waves of the sea. There are 2 apartments per floor. The 2 on the first floor are our property. So no one will bother you.
Air conditioning is not allowed in the building. No neighbor considers it necessary because generally the temperature in the area is usually pleasant. The apartment is quite cool, being very close to the sea. In summer, by opening a window or balcony at the very least, the fresh sea breeze immediately enters. We have recently installed a ceiling fan in the master bedroom. In any case, we have several standing fans in the apartment in case they are needed.
Wifi and very fast internet of 600 Mbps.
TV with HBO MAX, Movistar (with some international channels), FIRE TV and all Spanish channels.
Guest Access
It is a first floor, and is accessed by stairs.
My parking spaces are rented. But if you rent a car, it's easy and free to park on the street. Most days, you'll park in front of the apartment.
IMPORTANT: In simultaneous or non-simultaneous exchanges in which the other exchange partner requests the payment of cleaning expenses, cleaning expenses will also be charged at our property, (ONLY in that case).
Notes
Thomas Whitmore, director of climatological research at Syracuse University (USA) carried out the only existing scientific study, which he titled the "Indices of the most pleasant climates", where Las Palmas de Gran Canaria appeared as the place with the best climate in the world. The study, published by Consumer Travel Publications, was based on the comparison of meteorological statistics (days of precipitation and water and air temperature) of more than six hundred places in the world.
I can't guarantee you 100% good weather, but there are many chances.

Neighbourhood
Playa de Arinaga is a fashionable village among the island's population. During the week it is very quiet and with few tourists, without too much hustle and bustle, but with all restaurants, bars and supermarkets open. On the weekend you find a lot of Canarian people having a beer or eating in its many restaurants at non-tourist prices. It is a "real" town, not a place made for tourists. A few kms. you have the well-known village of Agüimes, a typical Canarian village, which still preserves many of its Canarian houses from past centuries and a very beautiful church. If you need shopping, 9 kms. You have a large shopping center with all kinds of shops.
Getting to my home
Gran Canaria airport is about 10 minutes away by car. A taxi is the most convenient way to get to the apartment and costs around €20. You can also take the airport bus, but you have to make a small transfer at Cruce de Arinaga. You can also combine bus to Cruce de Arinaga and then take a taxi which costs €6 to Playa de Arinaga, where the apartment is located.
Nearest airport
Gran Canaria airport is 10 kms.
You have direct flights to Gran Canaria from all major European and Spanish cities. The flights are not long, so you can combine your visit to Spain or mainland Europe with a few days on an island in the middle of the ocean. It is also possible to visit other Canary Islands, they are very well connected. There are even direct low-cost flights to Morocco.
Getting Around
In the village there are 7 supermarkets, the closest to the apartment is 450 meters away. and they are open every day, even on Sundays. There are very good restaurants and also bars where you can taste some "tapas" and a beer or glass of wine while looking at the sea.
Transport in Gran Canaria is good and cheap. Playa de Arinaga has direct buses to the south, where the large and most famous beaches are just a short drive away. To go to Las Palmas city and the north of the island, a transfer is necessary. Transfers depart every 20 minutes.
We had the most enjoyable stay at Angel’s apartment in Gran Canaria. It was made more pleasant for us that he was a great communicator when agreeing the exchange, not over-complicating arrangements. And such a warm-hearted person who showed true PLU spirit.
It was lovely to meet him when we arrived, the apartment was very comfortable and we really appreciated he left some of their favourite local foods for us to try during our stay.
Arinaga suited our preference to stay away from the tourist centres, and was a popular swimming spot for locals. It has a lovely promenade where people were out and about enjoying the local swimming areas and rock pools. No shortage of good places to eat – including a great pizza restaurant and gelato shop for the kids. The mini supermarket (SPAR) very close and had most things we needed.
We hired a car which gave us easy access to some amazing beaches - we visited a different most days within a 15-40 minutes drive - each had a different vibe. We also enjoyed a day in the mountains and we appreciated the tips Angel left for us on the best spots to go.
We will forever appreciate how Angel responded on our departure day, when I messaged to say our daughter had accidentally left her phone at the apartment (she will never live this down!). As soon as Angel saw the message he raced over there to get it and miraculously got it through the security gates at the airport and back to us before we boarded our flight. She declared he is officially her ‘favourite person’ and we would have to agree! Thank you for a lovely stay, and for being great guests at our house too.
Angel and family were perfect guests, they looked after our house as if it was their own. I appreciated that he knew the right moments to contact us - such as a short message to advise of some street maintenance near where we were staying, when he noticed something wrong with our freezer, and to offer to water our pot plants. But otherwise left us to enjoy our holiday while they also enjoyed theirs. Everything was left extremely clean and tidy on our return, 100% recommend this lovely family and would happily repeat an exchange with them in the future.
It was so much fun to meet Ángel and his family. They were great guests with good communication skills. They treated our Seattle home very well and we would be happy to have them back. I can highly recommend this family as exchange partners!
Angel, Silvia and Aylen were respectful guests in our home, kept in communication, and left our home very clean. You couldn't ask for better guests than Angel and his family. Thank you Angel for a great exchange!
Angel was easy to communicate with, friendly, and kind. The family left our home in excellent condition and even offered to change the sheets for us as we were getting home late so that we could put our children right to bed upon our arrival. We were glad they enjoyed their stay in our home, and we would be happy to exchange with them again in the future.
Angel and his family left my place in perfect condition. Some friends went to my place before I returned myself and they confirmed to me that they found it impeccable and that it was super clean. Angel and his family are super trustworthy in every way. It's a pleasure and privilege to know them
Angel and his family were fantastic guests and would be welcome back anytime. They left the apartment spotless and the communication was excellent. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Angel and his family as guests. An absolute pleasure. Thank you Angel!
We just spent 10 wonderful days at Angel, Silvia, and Aylén's. Communication was always very pleasant and smooth, even before we started, and we felt completely at ease from the very first moment. Angel kindly greeted us upon arrival and showed us the spacious, modern, and very clean apartment. It was a pleasure chatting with Angel. We communicated regularly throughout our stay, which was very enjoyable.
We received thoughtful culinary touches (ham, wine, eggs, coffee, etc.), everything we needed to get started. Thank you!
The apartment was very quiet, and we loved hearing the waves crashing from the living room balcony, which overlooks the sea :-) We truly felt like we were on vacation!
As others have mentioned before us, it's very pleasant to be able to go outside and walk along the coast on the pedestrian path. Swimming in the huge, well-equipped natural pool (with platforms for lounging, a shower, and benches) is also a delight. This was our morning routine! We enjoyed Arinaga because it wasn't a touristy village; we felt like locals!
As for sightseeing, we recommend the drive between Punta de la Sardine (northwest) and Mogan—the road is breathtaking! Puerto de Mogan is very charming. The southern beaches are worth a visit, as are the sand dunes; you feel like you're in the desert! We also ventured into the interior, deep in the mountains.
We went to Margullar Diving, just a stone's throw from the apartment, for an introductory dive. They were very professional, and we dived right from the shore—no need to go out on a boat. We recommend choosing the photo and video option. The seabed is teeming with fish; it was truly wonderful!
In short, a relaxing stay, with the sea at 25-26 degrees Celsius, just like the air... everything to unwind and slow down the frenetic pace of our Parisian life.
Thanks, Angel! Beautiful memories for life!
We loved everything about this exchange. Ángel and his family are lovely and we feel privileged to have met them. We got to spend time together in Seattle when they stayed in our home and then again in Arinaga when we came to stay.
We had never thought about visiting Gran Canaria but we loved it. This island has so much to offer. In fact, we put 1,155 km on our rental car! Mountains, canyons, historic towns, wild sea, calm beaches, etc. It was fun to explore and we just might come back one day!
Ángel's apartment in Arinaga is perfect. Steps from the water, super comfortable, and stocked with just enough items that you are not missing anything. You can see that Ángel takes pride in providing an excellent space. We loved the town of Arinaga as it was just the right mix of having things for tourists to do but not being too touristy. These are not the fanciest beaches of Gran Canaria but it feels like the place that the locals go. We loved it.
I can highly recommend exchanging with Ángel and he's welcome back in Seattle anytime.
Angel, Silvia and Aylen have an apartment in a fantastic location in Arinaga in Gran Canaria. Angel is a great communicator, and a really wonderful man! He is probably one of the nicest people I've had the privilege to meet. The apartment was very clean, and Angel stocked the kitchen with some food essentials to get us started. This is not his primary home. Grocery stores are only about a 10 minute walk away. We did go to a really large grocery store in Cruce de Arinaga one day which took about 15 minutes by bus.
This is a locals town, albeit often a locals tourist town. Their apartment is just steps from the seawall (malecon, promenade) where we walked every day. The island is volcanic rock and what sand there is is black sand. It's very rocky, with the wild Atlantic at your doorstep. There are many cement or wooden platforms on which is sit and Angel had beach chairs and an umbrella. I realized it's not much different than sitting on a sandy beach as the ocean is the star. You do need water shoes if you go in the water.
The apartment does not have aircon, but didn't need it either. Even though it is warm in Gran Canaria, there was always a brisk breeze that kept you cool. Angel has a great ceiling fan in the bedroom, and 2 standalone fans also. The beds are comfortable enough. The livingroom has a comfortable 2 seater sofa. If more than 2 people stay here, you would need to use the dining chairs though. Being middle 70s, we sometimes watched Netflix after our evening walk along the promenade.
We decided not to rent a car and took local transportation. Buses were easy to take. Bus #25 and #22 can take you to Cruce de Arinaga, 15 minutes away, where you can get buses to many areas. Bus #8 takes you to Las Palmas, the capital. There's a great church in Las Palmas and a great pedestrian street mall. We took a bus to Maspalamos, about an hour away. Maspalomas has great beaches and an active life and is a much bigger city. We decided to stay overnight at a cute hotel for a little holiday within our bigger holiday. After, we then took another bus to Mogan, which took another hour, and stayed there for one night. Mogan was small, but wonderful and often called Little Venice. It's certainly worth a visit. It took about 2 hours to return from Mogan to Arinaga via 2 buses. We took a bus into Cruce de Arinaga, about 15 minutes away, and walked around. It's a delightful place with a lot of street art. We also took a bus to Aquimes. It's only 25 minutes away by bus, and a delightful town with a great little old city to walk around.
Arinaga and Angel's place is a great place to relax and unwind. I feel we've made a lifelong friend in Angel.
We have just returned from our first PLU stay and to say we are loving the experience is an understatement!
From the first conversation with Angel to the last he has been helpful, generous, informative, thoughtful, and prompt in all responses.
Prior to arrival Angel reached out to advise us we needn't worry about packing beach towels as we would supply them, I thought how kind but he overwhelmed us with his further generosity.
As we had a late flight, Angel collected us and our cases at the airport (which is a very convenient 15 minutes away).
He took us to his apartment and showed us around the locality as well as where to get the buses and how everything worked.
As the shops were closed by the time we got there, he had already bought some groceries for us e.g. beer, wine, bread, milk, butter, bananas, ham, cheese..... It was so appreciated, as was the help getting the suitcase up the stairs.
In terms of the apartment itself it is spotlessly clean and beautifully located. it contains everything you need for a relaxing holiday and more. Angel supplied buckets and shovels for the beach, he had a smart tv that had netflix (that was all we used I'm sure it had other apps too). There was really fast internet access and all appliances were clean and easy to use (including three different ways of making coffee 😁😁
Location was in a beautiful village with a balcony looking out on the ocean. it was a five minute walk from the beautiful Soco Negro where we could swim, snorkel and have fish come up to us to feed.
We were less than half an hour from the sand dunes in Masapalomas, from the aquapark and from all tourist facilities where we could rent a car, boat etc.
Angel kindly offered to bring us back to the airport for our departure but we had rented a car which needed returning.
Thank you so much Angel and hopefully we will make it back some day!
Anne
We stayed almost a week at Angels home, working remotely and sightseeing after work and it was an absolutely lovely stay.
We were welcomed by Angel who met with us on our arrival and provided us with some tips about the area and shared his family history on this island. He was very kind to offer us some wine, snacks and fruits which we really appreciated. It was a true PLU spirit and we instantly felt friendly connection with Angel.
The apartment is located in a quiet, residential town, right in front of the sea and in close proximity to several shops. There was a lot of on street parking, so we could always find a spot within a few minutes walk. The apartment itself is modern, spacious and well equipped. We had comfortable places for working and very good wi-fi signal. One of the highlights was the balcony with a view on the sea, where we usually had our breakfasts. It's a very quiet area so it's perfect both for work, but also for a peaceful holiday.
The town has all necessities and is also just a short drive to a bigger town, with big supermarkets and good restaurants. It's also just a short drive to the Maspalomas dunes, the airport, as well as entrances to scenic mountain roads which made it a perfect location for various trips in the afternoon.
All in all it was an amazing stay and we can really recommend exchanging with Angel and his family to anyone interested in visiting Gran Canaria. Once again - thank you Angel for opening your doors to us and your hospitality, you made our stay truly special!
I stayed in Angel Lopez's place in Arinaga Playa for nearly two weeks in January 2025. Angel's place is simply perfect, super clean and organised, very spacious with three large bedrooms, two bathrooms and a lovely and very stylishly decorated kitchen/dining area (I particularly admired the lighting fixtures). There is also a little balcony with a lovely view of the sea. The apartment is situated literally seconds from the seafront which is really nice given how sunny it is in the Canary Islands -EVEN IN JANUARY! There are lots of cafes and bars and supermarkets within very easy walking distance. There is a regular bus service to the pretty and charming nearby town of Aguimes and also to the very busy and active Maspalomas. It's aslo easy to get to Las Palmas, Telde and Mogàn by changing buses at nearby Cruce de Arinaga.
Angel very kindly left supplies for me in the apartment to start me off as well as a few sweet treats, but this was only the beginning of his incredible hospitality and generosity. When he and his lovely family returned to Gran Canaria they drove me to a fantastic restaurant in a part of the island I'd never have have been able to access on my own; and to top it all Angel drove me to the airport on my final day. Communication with Angel had been very fluid and very pleasant since we started planning this trip and the communication is still going now after the trip. I feel I've made a friend in Angel and his family. I would repeat the experience without any hesitation whatsoever.
By the way Angel and his family left my place in perfect condition.
The flat is spacious and very comfortable. You have everything you need and more! Communication with Angel was flawless and easy. The bed was comfortable and the main bedroom was very quiet. This flat was in a fantastic location, only steps from the sea. We had a lovely stay and discovered many charming corners of the area including the wild beach nearby. The whole area is amazing for snorkelling and we really enjoyed. There were many good restaurants along the seaside promenade too. We had a lovely time just relaxing and enjoying the area.
Feedback for Alison·Simultaneous exchange·8 nights
When we proposed the exchange to Alison we were looking for a house in a quiet place, with nearby nature, with few tourists, but at the same time with enough transport connections to reach the center of London in a short time. And we were right. Alison's home is modern, bright, comfortable and satisfies all the needs that may arise. It is tastefully decorated and reminds you at all times of the origin of the heads of the family, which I like, because I love people who are proud of their roots, like me. The house was clean and tidy. They had also left us some space for our things. We felt we were welcome.
We arrived at night and they had left us food to start with. Not only that, but also homemade cookies and local treats that we appreciated. Since they knew that our daughter had a birthday during the stay, they left her a nice gift and a beautiful greeting card handmade by the daughters of the family (my daughter will keep it as a treasure at home). We had chosen the right family, they definitely have the PLU spirit. In addition, Alison left us a card to make us save on Aylén's transportation. Beyond the money saved, the important thing for us is the detail, that they also care about your finances, generates a feeling of closeness in me, like the one you feel for a true friend or family member.
The neighborhood seemed very safe to us. There is a large children's park a few meters away and next to it, a bus stop with which you can connect in minutes to Surbiton Station in one direction or to the center of Kingston in the other, where you can also take the train. We took the train in Surbiton and in about 20 minutes we were in Waterloo and from there we accessed the endless offer of leisure and tourism that London offers. We found Kingston lively and with a lot of variety of businesses and things to do. The neighbourhood has a supermarket nearby, but if you come back very late from the centre via Surbiton (like us), you have a small supermarket when you leave the station, where you can buy a little bit of everything. We spent a morning walking around nearby Richmond Park, we knew there were deer and we looked for them, but we didn't imagine we'd see so many. We liked to see them in the wild, it is not common for someone who lives in Gran Canaria.
All in all, we had a wonderful week. And much of the blame was on the Hoods and their beautiful home. Totally recommended.
A big hug family.
Angel, Silvia & Aylén

The Hoods are a lovely family, with adorable daughters, whom I was lucky enough to meet in person in Gran Canaria. People with easy and fluid communication. Polite, responsible and friendly people who have left the house in perfect condition. Perfect exchange partners. Do not hesitate to host them, highly recommended people, 100% PLU DNA.
Stefan and Nanna have been perfect exchange partners. Polite, respectful, friendly people with easy and fluent communication who have treated my apartment as if it were their own.
They have left the house in perfect condition, clean and tidy, which I already sensed, because their house was also impeccable and in perfect order.
They knew how to respect that during their stay in Gran Canaria, we were on holiday in London. I can only say good things about this exchange. One of the best exchanges we've had in any way.
I don't know if we will return to Iceland, I hope so. In that case, I would be happy to exchange with Stefan and Nanna again. Highly reliable people.

Solange and Emmanuel have been wonderful guests. Polite, kind, friendly people and easy and fluent communication who have left our apartment clean and in perfect condition. From the first contact, Solange gave me a very good feeling and then it was confirmed.
Very detailed people who make themselves loved. It has been a real pleasure to host you and I would welcome you with open arms a thousand times more. They exude PLU spirit and have that class that is innate in many French people.
Since we have visited France 6 times in the last 9 years, we have preferred to visit other destinations at short notice. But I hope to return the visit at some point to his house, as it looks like a magnificent property where you can relax after a day of walking around Paris. And with Solange and Emmanuel being such good guests, I have no doubt that they must be excellent hosts.
Thank you for the beautiful and rich gifts, a big kiss from the three of us.
Angel, Silvia and Aylén.

We spent a fantastic week at Allen and Malini's centrally located home in Seattle. Although we had rented a car, we decided to get to know Seattle on foot. Nothing was too far away. From the living room window and kitchen you can admire the Space Needle. We take advantage of some of Allen's advice on places to eat and interesting places to visit. We even went to some Sunday farmer's market (this by car).
Allen asked me to water the garden because of the heat during the days of my stay. I did it 3 times early in the morning and as I love flowers and vegetation it was a pleasure and gave added value to my stay. A squirrel even came to visit us in the garden and I made a video call to my mom in the Canary Islands to show her the cute flowers, as she loves them.
Seattle was not a city that we thought of visiting a priori, but after Allen's proposal, we said to ourselves... why not?. And it turned out to be a success, being a medium-sized city it is charming and easy to visit, with many interesting things. We also took advantage of our stay and the car to visit beautiful places such as Deception Pass State Park and Mount Rainier National Park.
Allen is fluent and friendly. And Malini left us some homemade welcome cookies that we enjoyed very much. In short, a pleasant experience with all the PLU spirit.
Feedback for Stefan·Non-Simultaneous exchange·7 nights
Beautiful home provided with all the comforts, and beautiful views. Stefan's house is located about 20 min. by car from the center of Reykjavik. It is accessed from a private road only for residents, so the environment is very quiet and peaceful.
We are a family of 3 and spent 7 wonderful days in Iceland. We took Stefan's house as a logistical base for our long daily days. When we went further south we decided to sleep 1 night in another location to rest and make the most of the visit the next day.
Stefan and his wife were great hosts, communication was correct and fluid, and everything agreed upon was fulfilled. The house was very clean, in good condition, tastefully decorated and PERFECTLY tidy, which we appreciated very much. It's a pleasure to live in a home like this. We were left free space in drawers and coat racks in the bedrooms and also free shelves in the refrigerator.
We would have liked to have enjoyed the house more, but Iceland has so much amazing nature to see that 7 days were short. All in all, home and hosts highly recommended. We look forward to your visit to Gran Canaria.
Thank you for everything.
Angel & family.

Our stay at Bonnie and Alex's house exceeded any expectations. The house is located in a green oasis of tranquility, where squirrels play in the backyard and birds wake you up in the morning. Just behind the house you can start several trails under the coolness of majestic trees. The house is tastefully decorated, comfortable and spacious. The artistic soul of its female owner is noticeable. Bonnie is a lovely person. She is detail-oriented, friendly, discreet and polite. It is very easy to connect with it. She is very open and understanding.
Your area in North Vancouver is quiet pretty. Friendly neighbors, and veryyyyyyy friendly, actually now I think kindness is a genetic thing in the Canadian population. You have shops and services within walking distance, even on foot. And since the shuttle service in Vancouver is very good, it doesn't take too long to get to the center.
We enjoyed our stay very much, both in the surroundings of the house and in downtown Vancouver, where we made a number of visits and activities that if I list them would extend this comment too much, but everything was great! It is a fantastic city, with a high quality of life, with endless things to do.
Bonnie and Alex's house is very close by public transport or car to attractions such as Capilano or Grouse Mountain.
Although some days we left the car at home, as we did not consider it necessary. For several days we set off on excursions to beautiful sites such as Whistler, Squamish, Porteau Cove, Shannon Falls or even whale watching from Richmond.
We spent 9 days in Vancouver, and they were short. We've traveled a lot, but Vancouver and especially North Vancouver are special. A perfect place for the vital moment in which I personally find myself. By the way, Bonnie left us a welcome pack that we appreciated very much. The banana, carrot and nut cake was great (although it was a calorie bomb, lol).
All in all, house and hosts highly recommended. Bonnie and Alex have left the Canadian pavilion very high!
A big hug, dear new friends.
Angel, Silvia & Aylén
Angel, Silvia and Aylén, you are such a wonderful family. Angel, I feel we will be friends for our lives. You are a kind, generous man and I hope to meet you again! I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay at our home. It was such a great pleasure for you to stay here!

I hope that our lives cross again at some point and we have a little more time. If you ever want to return to Gran Canaria you will always be welcome.

We were lucky enough to stay in the DIXON's beautiful family home. When we arrived everything was clean and tidy. The house is very spacious and pretty. Located on a quiet street, with supermarkets and restaurants within walking distance. Nearby and frequent public transport. Taking the Express lines of the Subway we were home in a few minutes.
We knew NYC, but staying in a real American home has made all the difference. This time it has been special. My daughter wanted to see snow in NYC and we were fortunate with that too, as it snowed just the day after we arrived and we had a lot of fun playing in the snow at nearby Marcus Garvey Park. We've had a great time and enjoyed NYC a lot these days, and it was great to have such a comfortable home to return to at the end of our long days around the city.
Colleen is friendly and communicative and was quick to respond to our questions, which were few because everything was extremely easy in this exchange.
Many thanks to the Dixon family for giving us the possibility to live this beautiful experience.

Excellent exchange partner who has left the apartment in perfect condition and treated our property as if it were their own. Polite, friendly, friendly and communicative person. Also with the advantage of having a lot of experience in the exchange, so everything works easily with him. More than an exchange partner, he has become a friend of the family. Everything has been perfect with Padraig. It is highly recommended.

Located in the Parisian commune of Courbevoie, in a modern building is the magnificent apartment of Padraig. We arrived on Christmas Day, and Padraig had left us food to start with and also indicated a good business nearby where we could provide us with delicious French food in case we wanted to have dinner at home that night. He had also left the heating on so that we would feel comfortable when we arrived.
It is a nice one-bedroom apartment with a small balcony that gives access to the view of a main street full of businesses of all kinds: small and large supermarkets, wineries, cheese shops, good and elegant restaurants and even famous fast food franchises just around the corner, plus about 10 min. walk you have a huge shopping center. Despite how busy its street is, there is no noise thanks to the double glazing of its windows, in addition the building is very quiet and with pleasant and discreet neighbors. The apartment is perfect for two people, but also for two couples or a small family thanks to its new and spacious sofa bed, which according to my daughter is very comfortable. By the way, from a corner on Carrer de Padraig you can see the Eiffel Tower day and night :)
The apartment was very clean and tidy. The kitchen is fully equipped and it is amazing how Padraig has taken advantage of every corner and how well placed everything is. He also freed up a closet from his bedroom, which was very kind and helpful. You can tell that Padraig is an experienced exchanger, and we have benefited from this with useful recommendations. By the way, the bedroom mattress is very comfortable, I have slept perfectly.
On the other hand, its location is great in Paris, it combines the comfort of a modern area, the tranquility of an area not crowded with tourists, the interest of living like a local and the proximity to the means of transport and the main tourist attractions of the city of light. Even at Christmas within walking distance you have the biggest Christmas market in Paris, which we enjoyed a couple of nights, even my daughter skated on a natural ice rink 10 min. from the apartment (it's a very exciting thing to do that for a girl born under the sun of the Canary Islands).
Communication with Padraig was fluid from the beginning, I quickly understood that I had reached an agreement with a good and serious person and that made everything easier. Before, during and after the exchange he worried that everything went well and really everything has been perfect. Padraig is a generous and friendly person, he makes you want to go beyond a simple exchange, transforming it into a new friendship.
It was our third time in Paris, but as we already knew the city quite well, two weeks have given us the time to calmly enjoy everything, even to stay longer in bed when we felt like :), but also to get to know the less touristy Paris. Long walks around the city, museums, monuments, Disney, nice shops and galleries, cafes, delicious meals with a long after-dinner conversation since we were not in a hurry. For me specifically, it has been the best of my three stays in Paris.
By the way, Padraig left our apartment in perfect condition.
Apartment and host highly recommended, do not hesitate.
Cozy apartment, well located in the south of the island. Renovated and decorated with very good taste, very clean and with magnificent views.
We knew the island, so we took the opportunity to go to the beach, walk and eat in the restaurants in the area. These days helped us disconnect and get out of the routine.
Simply thank Alexandra and her partner for giving us the opportunity to enjoy their apartment as a family. We loved it!.
From the first contact everything was easy with Alexandra. In fact, we agreed on the exchange in just one day, it was that easy! Friendly, communicative, polite, respectful people with similar thoughts in many aspects. A charm of people.
As for our home, we have no complaints. They treated it as if it were theirs, they left everything in perfect condition. Do not hesitate to exchange with them, they are very serious people. I'm glad they were our first exchange at PLU, because it couldn't have been better. We will never forget that it was the first home we were in as an exchange. Everything was perfect. A strong hug.
Absolute and total trust for Angel and his lovely family. One of my very best exchange experiences. I got meet Angel and family and we went out for dinner, just lovely people.
