Our home is very peaceful and surrounded by nature,  including deer, bob cats, fox, coyotes, turkeys, the occasional bear.  We have a seasonal pond and creek.  The home is very spacious, the great room has 16 foot ceilings,  updated kitchen is very large with gorgeous island and attached family room.  We have a back patio with covered pergola which opens to the beautiful pool!  It is a large home,  but areas open to guests are limited to one bedroom,  2 bathrooms,  kitchen,  family room, great room, the back patio and garden as well as the entire property which opens to seasonal pond and creek,  other areas are private.

Guest Access

All open rooms are on one floor,  two steps up to bedroom.   We do have inflatable beds which may be used.

Notes

We have a kitty cat which is very shy but once he warms up to you,  he's very loving.   He needs to be fed in the morning and plants need watering weekly.

Neighbourhood

Numerous ranches with horses,  alpacas,  emu, goats and pigs.   It is a very family friendly neighborhood and great for walking.

Getting to my home

We are just outside of the town of Grass Valley.

Nearest airport

The closest airport is Sacramento (SMF) a little over an hour away,  San Francisco (SFO) is about 2-1/2 to 3 hours away depending on traffic.

Getting Around

You will need to rent a car.

Hi everybody,  we're just looking into this and are very excited to get started!  I am Penny, my husband is Tom.   We're both retired and looking forward to seeing and exploring much more of the this beautiful world we live in. We live on a 6 acre property in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains which are filled with lakes,  rivers and streams.   Our home is 8 minutes from the charming downtown area of Grass Valley and a couple more minutes to the even more charming town of Nevada City.   Our state Capitol of Sacramento is about an hour away and San Francisco about 2-1/2 hours depending on traffic.
