Neighbourhood

Our house is located in a peaceful desirable area close to Tapiola, which is known as a Garden-City and it has a shopping mall and all amenities needed. Easy commute to the centre of Helsinki, the capital of Finland. Neighborhood is lovely and there are good walking routes right from the door. We are not far from the baltic sea either. There is a beautiful National Park "Nuuksio" not far from us. There is possibility for hiking and outdoor activities. There a tens of clear beautiful lakes to swim or fish as well. If you are interested in history, you can take a ferry from Helsinki center to Suomenlinna, the sea fortress, which is a Unesco World Heritage Site.

Nearest airport

Helsinki-Vantaa airport 19km, with public transport about an hour and by car 25min.

Getting Around

All shops needed are in the Ainoa Shopping mall in Tapiola, where you get easily by bus, unless you are fit to walk about 1,5km there. There is a café, petrol station and a grocery shop near by as well. We are happy to lend our car to your use, it makes going around much easier.

Laura

We are Brittish-Finnish couple in our 60's., Charlie and Laura. We are easy-going and curious about life. We love nature and animals, and we have a little dog, Tinky. We are currently looking for a couple of weeks visit to a Spanish village or city, where from we could drive around and get to know the surroundings. We are planning to move to Spain in couple of years time and we are not sure, where in Spain. We are happy to receive any tips and suggestions! The best time for us to do this is sometime may-june 2026.
