Hospitality Description: For hospitality stays, I can offer one bedroom with a double bed (possibly one mattress too), which is on the main floor of the house where you can use also the livingroom and kitchen (shared with us). You will have access to one of the toilets and to the shared shower & sauna space. The upstairs of the house, including one of the bathrooms is for my family's use.

General Overview

We live in a typical old Finnish house 1.5km from the center of Rovaniemi. We have a sauna too! Availability (2025): I would prefer doing an exchange (or more!) during the summer months. It is possible also to stay in our rental unit (in the same house) if simultanous exchange is not possible between the end of February - November 2025. March still has amazing snow, the possibility of seeing the northern lights. In summer, we have the midnight sun!

The Space

It is a 3-story typical Finnish house with a lot of stairs. - shower + sauna space - separate toilet - second bathroom with shower and toilet A family of 4 would fit here comfortably, but there are some extra spaces. Sleeping arrangements: - There is a bedroom with a 140cm bed. - The livingroom has an openable sofa bed (opens to 140cm) - In the kids bedroom there are two 60x160cm kids beds, so suitable for smaller children. Possible to use another 80x200 mattress.

Guest Access

The house has 3 floors, and you need to use them to get to shower, or to one of the bedrooms.

Quiet neighborhood 1.5 km from the city center. Supermarket, pharmacy, and a fast food restaurant is 300 meters away.

Nearest airport

Rovaniemi - about 10 km. 15 minutes/30-40€ by taxi

Getting Around

City buses are quite limited in Rovaniemi and Lapland. The best way to get around by own car or taxis/Uber. Supermarket and bus stop is walking distance (5 minutes)
