We have a cosy, modern home in a quiet Oxford cul-de-sac, in a peaceful village with historic stone walls and green spaces. There is a biodiverse private garden and access to a larger shared communal garden.
It works well both as a base for exploring Oxford and as a comfortable place to stay. Influenced by our time in Denmark, the house has a warm, relaxed feel, whether you’re in the living room or outside in the garden.
The Space
Compact but modern three-bedroom home with a warm, comfortable feel and a well-thought-out layout. Downstairs includes a kitchen, toilet, living area, and a light-filled conservatory that works well as a dining space and home office. Upstairs there are three bedrooms: one generous king bedroom and two singles, with an additional sofa bed available downstairs if needed.
There is good wifi - 60-80mb and desks and working nooks in each room.
Outside, there is a small private courtyard garden with table and chairs and open views, making it a pleasant place to sit with a coffee or a book. There is also a larger shared communal garden, used by a small number of households, offering a quiet, green space just beyond the house.

Neighbourhood
We’re at the end of a no-through road at the top of a hill, which makes the setting particularly quiet and peaceful. Iffley village is a conservation area, known for its beautiful stone walls and Norman church. There are three nearby pubs within walking distance, along with lovely walks down to the river.
The surrounding area has forests and nature reserves close by, and Oxford itself offers a wide range of cultural attractions, all easily reached from the house.
Getting to my home
There is parking, or you can get a taxi from Oxford station if coming by train or use the Airline buses if coming via air.
Nearest airport
Heathrow is around 50 minutes drive or 1hr 20 on the bus
Getting Around
It’s an easy 15-minute cycle into central Oxford, with regular buses leaving from the bottom of the road. Local shops and supermarkets are also within walking distance. We have a car and bikes that can be made available for use.
Trains to London run three to four times an hour and take around 50 minutes. There is also a direct bus to central London, which takes around 90 minutes. Oxford has direct bus connections to both Heathrow and Gatwick airports.

We’re a relaxed, caring family of four from Oxford. It’s me, my wife, and our teen/tween children, Nathan and Anna. We enjoy spending time outdoors, watching films, reading, and exploring new places together, whether that’s a city, countryside, or somewhere in between. We’re considerate, tidy, and always treat homes with care. We lived in Denmark for two years and rented our home at various poins so have experience of international living and being good hosts.
My wife runs her own business from home, I work in Nature Recovery with the university and run a pop up sauna business in my spare time. Our children 12 and 15 are really well behaved and extremley chill. Reading, watching movies, gaming, art, and outdoor activities keep me occupied.
