General Overview

The perfect getaway location. Our lovely beach house is a very short (140m) walk to the golden sands and gorgeous surf of Ocean Beach. It is a safe and long beach perfect for swimming, walking, fishing, cycling and relaxing. There are coffee shops galore and it is genuinely the perfect antidote to city life.

The Space

The townhouse is in a gated secure enclave of 7 homes. The property has two levels: Downstairs - Lounge - Dining, - Kitchen - Laundry - Toilet - Outside entertaining area - Single garage Upstairs: - Two guest bedrooms, currently one has a queen bed and the second has two low sofa mattresses that can be used as two singles or pushed together to form a double. (The second bedroom is best suited to a single adult or a child / children rather than a couple). - A bathroom with shower and full sized bath - (Also we have a main bedroom but we request it not be used for exchangers)

Neighbourhood

Umina Beach is known for its long, family-friendly sandy beach perfect for swimming, surfing, and paddleboarding. It also has a lively main Street with cafes and shops, three large supermarkets, clothing boutiques, bookshops and homeware shops. The village of Umina has a lovely local feel and the next village along, Ettalong is only a short walk away as well. There you’ll find a variety of restaurants and cafes, weekend markets, a six screen cinema and cocktail bars. The are is known for its proximity to nature including Bouddi National Park and Brisbane Water, making it ideal for hikers and nature lovers and above all it is a quintessential Australian beach experience. You can also take a beautiful short (30mins) ferry ride to Sydney’s Palm Beach for a perfect day out. It’s the location British people would know as the beach from Home & Away.

Getting to my home

Our beach house is 1hr and 15 mins from Sydney, it is an easy drive. If wanting to use public transport there are direct trains from central or Epping. We use the Metro to Epping and then change for the Intercity Express to Woy Woy. From the train station there is a connecting bus and the stop is across the road from our home.

Nearest airport

Sydney International Airport and the Domestic Airports are about 2 hrs away. There is a train station at the airport which will take you into Central Station in Sydney, from there catch an Intercity train to Woy Woy.

Getting Around

You can do everything on foot or if you wanted to explore more of the Central Coast (there are beautiful towns and coastal walks nearby) then a car is advised.
