Our home is all about easy, relaxed living. It’s a calm, low-fuss space that suits a laid-back coastal lifestyle — a chill little house in a chill little area.

The Space

The house is small, modern and open-plan, with a light, fresh feel that makes it easy to live in. There are two comfortable double bedrooms, and everything is set up for simple, comfortable stays. There’s also a BBQ for casual outdoor meals.

Neighbourhood

We’re just a five-minute walk to the beach and to beachside cafés and restaurants. The area has a wonderful laid-back community feel and offers an excellent lifestyle balance — close to everything, but never hectic.

Getting to my home

We’re around 40 minutes from the Sydney CBD by public transport. There’s also a bus stop nearby with a quick connection to the Manly ferry, making harbour trips and city access easy and enjoyable.

Everything is easy to access from our place. It’s walkable to the main shops, beach, cafés and restaurants, so you can settle in without needing a car day to day. There are plenty of bus options nearby with regular services around the Northern Beaches and Sydney city, including easy connections to Manly and the ferry.

We’re a relaxed, Sydney-born family of three with a 5-year-old son. I work in corporate communications and my husband, Jack, works in construction, so we’re organised, practical and very mindful of caring for our own home and those we visit. We’re tidy, quiet and considerate. We love a good BBQ, beach days, snowboarding trips and travelling as a family. We also have a small, very friendly 10-year-old dog, George, who will most likely stay with family during swaps, depending on dates.
