Comfortable, easy to live in home. Walk or ride to beaches, restaurants and everything NSW's 2nd city has to offer. Drive to wineries or 3 hour train to Sydney. 3 level house so stairs involved and not suitable for young kids. Small yard and deck - great for entertaining. The best bakery in town is on the corner. Light rail / train is 1km flat walk away. Walk to Fisherman's Co-op and yacht club, pubs and restaurants.
We have a cute Kei truck (2 seat) which may be included, kayaks for the creek that is 300m away and ebikes to get around (if we are not away with them).
The Space
Our house is only a few years old and new for us. While it is over 3 levels it is not a huge house. Downstairs is the garage (3 car if tou pushed it...) an exercise room and a toilet / shower. It opens into the backyard, part of which is covered by the deck of the level above. The middle floor is basically one open living area, dining and kitchen leading to a super deck with lounge and outdoor dining. There is also a powder room / toilet on this level. Upstairs are the bedrooms and main bathroom.
Guest Access
Being 3 levels there are quite a few stairs so not suitable for young kids or people not comfortable with stairs!

Neighbourhood
We are in a central yet quiet inner suburb of Newcastle.. The best bakery in town is on the corner and there is a 24 hour service station and liquor shop around the corner but otherwise mostly houses close by. There is a really good pub a few hundred metres away. Everything in central Newcastle, including world class beaches is within a 5km walk or ride.
Getting to my home
Coming from Sydney airport the train will bring you from the airport to 1km from our door (change trains at Sydney Central). Walk or taxi from there.
Nearest airport
Sydney airport 3 hour train, Newcastle airport 20min taxi.
Getting Around
Transport options within easy walk. 2 seat mini truck possibly available to be negotiated. Great area for bikes - flat 5km bike ride to best beaches in New South Wales! We have a very cute and handy Kei truck that you will be able to use and as long as we havent taken them with us you will have access to 2 ebikes (mans and ladies). We do have a (2 person) fully kitted, off grid campervan that we would consider including with a swap or flor globes. The van is super comfortable (2 fridges, outdoor fireplace, awning, table and chairs, running water etc)

We are a (young) retired couple from Newcastle NSW Australia. With no kids at home we like to travel as much as possible.
We will be in Europe from June to September 2026 and open to anywhere in Europe if someone would consider a swap during that time from 1 week plus. Outside then we are keen to look at opportunities anywhere - particularly within a shortish flight from home.
"Will be in Europe part of Jun, July, August and September 2026. Our house available all that time for simultaneous, non-simultaneous or globes. Open to any of Europe but wi will definitely be in Spain end of June."
