Walk five minutes to the water front at Arroteia and at low tide across to the Ria Formosa barra between the lagoon and the Atlantic Ocean . Cycle ten minutes to the fishing village of Fuseta . Take the train from Livramento just a seven minute walk to travel the full length of the Algarve in either direction . Spot flamingoes and rare birds around the Salinas again only ten minutes walk away . Visit old fishing town of Olhao and ferry across to the car free islands or to beautiful Tavira each ten minutes drive tavira to the east and Olhao west . Eat the locally caught fresh grilled fish in any of the many Tavernas… the list goes on ! It’s a very unique and stunningly beautiful secret corner of the southernmost part of Europe
