I live in a bright and cosy one-bedroom corner apartment on the second floor (no elevator) in the heart of Amsterdam, with beautiful views over the famous canals on multiple sides. The apartment is filled with natural light and has a warm, comfortable feel.
The Space
The layout includes:
One bedroom
An open kitchen with dining area
A living room
A hallway
A newly renovated bathroom
Upstairs, there is a spacious storage room that can be used for laundry or even for guests to sleep, although it’s two floors up with communal stairs in between, so it’s not ideal for everyday use.
There is a small balcony, but with the Vondelpark just around the corner, outdoor space is never an issue.
Guest Access
The apartment is located on the second floor and there is no elevator — a perfect excuse to get some extra steps in each day.

Neighbourhood
There is a cute balcony and across the street you can even rent a little boat and cruise through the canals yourself. The Nine Streets are right around the corner as well, full of charming cafés, boutiques, and specialty stores. Museums, bars, restaurants, and shops are all within walking distance — and of course, everything is easily reachable the Dutch way: by bike 🚲
Getting to my home
Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam is only a 15-30 minute drive (depending on traffic) to my home. Ubers are not around 30 euros. There is also a direct bus (line 397) that goes to Elandsgracht, which is a 5 min walk from my home.
Nearest airport
Schiphol Airport, 15-30 min drive
Getting Around
When at my place you will really explore everything by bike/walking/public transportation. Amsterdam is a small city, so really do not need a car.
