Neighbourhood
Sandgate has a true village feel, with incredible neighbours who genuinely enjoy making new friends. There are organic farmers markets on Wednesday and Sunday mornings, along with art galleries, a well-loved library, and easy access to trains and buses. The area feels very safe, with bikeways and electric scooters to hire, and it’s common to see children fishing on the pier or playing in the fantastic nearby playgrounds. Beautiful walking tracks begin at both the top and bottom of our street, winding through wetlands alive with birdlife and along the foreshore overlooking the sparkling waters of Moreton Bay.
Getting to my home
For international visitors we are located 20 minutes from the International Airport. Taxi or Train available to our home.

Brisbane Airport 20 minutes but car.
Getting Around
3 Cafes are within 5 minute walk and Sandgate Village is about a 12 minute walk. Bus to Brisbane City at the bottom of our Street with 50cent fares and train about 15 minute walk through beautiful and safe parkland. Our Car can be made available as part of swap.

We are a creative Australian family of four living in the beautiful northern bayside suburb of Sandgate 30 minutes from Brisbane and an hour to the Sunshine Coast. Our art deco home includes an art studio, vegetable garden and a heated magnesium pool, and we’re just minutes from the seaside, cafes, restaurants, pubs and the iconic Shorncliffe Pier.
We love art, nature, coastal walks, good food, and exploring places like locals. As hosts and guests, we’re respectful, organised, and care for homes as if they were our own.
