General Overview

Located on the island of Chiloé, in the south of Chile, our house is a refuge of deep calm and living nature. It is located in a very quiet environment, almost without neighbors, ideal for resting and creating. The house is built with walls of mañío wood and larch tiles, noble materials from southern Chile that provide warmth, shelter and an authentic Chiloé identity. The interior is cosy, with a warm atmosphere all year round. A large round window stands out, which frames open views towards the Cordillera de la Costa, becoming a special point to read, drink tea, listen to the rain or simply contemplate the changing landscape. Ideal for a quiet stay, hiking, deep rest and a genuine experience of Chiloé, away from the noise and rush.

Javiera

Hello! I am Javiera, Singer and occupational therapist, lover of music, nature and quiet life. I live on an island in the south of Chile, in a place where the greenery, the rain and the leisurely pace invite you to rest and reconnect. A year ago with my partner we were building our Hogarillo de campo, a space full of noble wood and tranquility, we know what it costs to build your shelter and that is why we are here. I am interested in home exchange as a conscious and human way of traveling, based on trust, respect and affection.
