General Overview
We live in a semi-detached property on the outskirts of Vitoria, 3 kilometers from the Historic City. We have the best of both worlds, as it is a quiet village but is part of the city itself at the same time. The tram stops are a 3-minute walk from home, right into the city centre, and we sometimes walk or cycle.
The little village where the house is has a couple of small groceries, a butcher, a fishmonger, a pharmacy and a medical center.
The house has a beautiful mural on its exterior walls.
A brilliant place to live and visit, and a good base for exploring.
Willingness to swap a car.
The Space
Welcome to our cozy and well-maintained house in a quiet, welcoming neighborhood. This charming home offers the perfect blend of comfort and convenience, making it an ideal spot for relaxation and exploration.
The downstairs consists of an open plan for a small hallway and a large living area with a large chaise lounge, television and wood-burning fireplace. There is a conservatory with a lovely view of the small garden and it can get very warm in the daytime. A window door opens up onto the lawn. A very spacious and well-equipped compact kitchen that includes a dishwasher, washing machine (in the bathroom), freezer and microwave, as well as an electric oven and stovetop.
A double bedroom with a folding bed enclosed in the wardrobe (with the sliding door opened is part of the open plan downstairs) and a bathroom with shower, washbasin, WC and hand shower.
The upstairs consists of a study/reading room, a very spacious master bedroom, a toilet with shower, washbasin, bidet and WC, and a small room turned into a dressing room.
The rooms retain character and are light, sunny, and freshly decorated downstairs and wood-rustic style upstairs. The house is centrally heated and benefits from double glazing, and downstairs it is fitted with shutters.
There is Wi-Fi, internet access, and a landline phone.
The house has a small garden and an annex with a toilet and “txoko”. This annex has access at the rear of the property and there is always parking space by the door as well as at the front of the house. The “txoko” (Basque word) is a meeting place, where a group of friends and family meet together and where leisure, cooking and dining are essential.
The ideal number of people to stay is two, but it can accommodate up to 6 people.
Whether you're seeking a quiet retreat or a base for discovering this beautiful Basque Country, our townhouse offers a peaceful and homely experience for you. We hope you'll feel just as at home as we do!

Victoria
We are Victoria and Xabier. After many years working as university professors, we are now a retired couple who love to experience other cultures. We are both from the Basque Country and live in Vitoria-Gasteiz, where our families also live.
We are experienced travelers but are new to exchanges and excited about it. In our travels, we have had many Airbnb rentals and received good feedback about how well we left the homes we stayed in and how attentive we were.
We love the outdoors and are open, active, and energetic. We appreciate calm and quiet but also enjoy a bit of adventure and exploration.
We do not smoke, are responsible, respectful, and considerate people who will take care of your home and things, and treat them with love and care.
We love meeting people from all places and cultures and would like to be able to exchange or learn about our respective "worlds" with some of you.
"Always happy to go there!!
