Neighbourhood
Chicago's Rogers Park neighborhood is the second most diverse community in the United States (Brooklyn, NY is #1). Connected to the downtown Chicago by commuter train and bus, Rogers Park is home to bohemians and academics; flanked by two renowned universities.
Getting to my home
Chicago's Red Line train is the heart of the city, with a stop just 2 blocks from my home. Many people arriving at O'Hare Airport choose to take a train all the way to downtown before transferring to the Red Line north, but it can also be accessed further north by transferring between train lines by bus. Midway Airport is best accessed by the Orange and Red train lines.
Nearest airport
O'Hare International Airport: 15 miles, by car.
Midway International Airport: 22 miles, by car.
Getting Around
The Red Line train is nearby and can connect you to a number of vibrant neighborhoods between Rogers Park and Downtown. If you prefer busses, the 147 bus stop is just two blocks away and will deliver you to Chicago's Magnificent Mile in about 40 minutes. An Uber or Lift (automobile rideshare services) can be on Lake Shore Drive for the 11-mile trip to Millennium Park (home of the monumental Cloud Gate sculpture by Anish Kapoor) taking approximately 25 minutes for about $18. For exploring nearby or adjacent neighborhoods, there are always rideshare bicycles and scooters available within a 2 blocks of my home, if not closer.

Clint, from Chicago! I am a veteran of the graphic design industry who now works for a nonprofit focused on creating educational equity in underserved communities. I'm an animal lover, having spent all my adult life as the pet parent to either a feline or canine. In addition other design-adjacent interests in art and photography, I have a real affinity for being in nature and feel so fortunate to live a 3-minute walk to a wide open beach on the 5th largest lake in the world.
