General Overview
We love that our home is spacious, quiet and perfect for family life. The garden and terrace are ideal for children, and the neighborhood is very safe and friendly. We enjoy being close to parks, playgrounds and the beautiful old town of Salzburg, as well as numerous hiking trails that start right on our doorstep. It is a wonderful starting point to explore Salzburg as well as the surrounding mountains and lakes.
The Space
The three of us live here as a family when we are not on the road
The apartment is suitable for couples or families and is recommended for up to 4-5 people traveling together. The master bedroom has a queen bed, and the second bedroom has a large sofa – most comfortable for 1. The office area has a pull-out bed for up to two people as well as a small private bathroom with shower. Two further (small) bathrooms have a separate guest toilet and a large room with a bathtub.
The open kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances, including a dishwasher, oven, microwave, kettle, coffee machine and a full size fridge/freezer
There is also a dining area, a cozy living area, and fast Wi-Fi throughout. A washing machine is located in the apartment and a dryer is available in the common area for your convenience.
The supermarket, a park and public transport are all within walking distance, 200–300 meters away. First cafes and restaurants rather in 1000 meters. Next to the park there is a station for local trains that depart every 30 minutes and can take you to neighboring Bavaria or deep into the mountainsides of Austria. Salzburg Central Station is easily accessible by bus (every 10 minutes).
Guest Access
Our spacious family house with 111 m² is located on the ground floor of a quiet residential building in Salzburg. However, there are some steps you will need to master or enter to enter the apartment and occasionally change rooms.

Neighbourhood
In a quiet, secluded cul-de-sac, you can start the hike to Salzburg's popular "Gaisberg" from here. The same applies to cycling along the Salzach River. Salzburg's Old Town is a must-see for those looking for a mix of historic buildings and living traditions with the lively lifestyle of a young university town. The world-famous atmosphere of a coffee house can be experienced, as well as an impressive cultural offer. Speaking of culture...: Recommendations for authentic Austrian restaurants and "beer gardens" are ;) In summer, crystal-clear mountain lakes and rivers are best for swimming, rafting, canyoning and boating. In winter, first-class ski resorts such as Flachau, Obertauern or Saalbach are 1.5 hours away or can be reached by train or bus. Smaller areas in less than an hour. Not to be missed is one of the most beautiful Christmas markets, which are open until New Year's Day.
Public transport to the city centre starts about 400 metres away, where you will also find the nearest supermarket. On the same route through the large park there is a commuter station that leads to neighboring Bavaria in the north (Bad Reichenhall) and continues south to ski and mountain areas to the town of Zell am See. Various attractions covered by tour operators in the city, such as sound of music and sightseeing tours.
