My home is small but full of charm - a bright studio flat in a historic Berlin Altbau building with high ceilings, moldings, and big west-facing windows that fill the space with light all day. The balcony is my favorite spot for morning coffee or sunset drinks.
The Space
The flat is compact but very well laid out, with an entryway for coats and shoes leading into the main living space. Here you’ll find a queen-sized bed with curtains for privacy, a large wardrobe with plenty of storage, and a large, comfortable L-shaped sofa bed and armchair. The dining table seats four and extends to accommodate up to eight. There’s a separate, bright kitchen with all the essentials and a small breakfast table - I love to cook, so it’s fully equipped. The bathroom has a bathtub for cozy evenings in.
Guest Access
It’s a 4th-floor walk-up - no elevator, very Berlin - but you’ll be rewarded with lots of light, a big balcony, and a view of the TV Tower in the distance.

Neighbourhood
The flat sits right between Neukölln and Kreuzberg - one of Berlin’s most vibrant and walkable areas. From here, you can wander everywhere: cafés, vintage shops, wine bars, galleries, and some of the city’s best restaurants are all just around the corner.
Hermannplatz is your local hub, with a lively mix of local shops and markets. A short walk brings you to the Maybachufer canal and its famous Turkish market, perfect for fresh produce, food stalls, and people-watching. Cross the bridge and you’re in Kreuzberg, full of street art, cozy bars, and independent boutiques. And when you need a break from city life, Tempelhofer Feld - Berlin’s massive former airfield turned public park - is only minutes away for picnics, cycling, or sunset walks.
The neighbourhood has an authentic, lived-in Berlin energy - creative but relaxed, lively yet full of quiet corners. I’m happy to share my personal Berlin map with over 500 saved spots from hidden cafés and wine bars to flea markets, galleries, and weekend escapes - to help you discover the city like a local.
Getting to my home
The flat is just a 5-minute walk from Hermannplatz, one of Berlin’s main transport hubs with direct connections on the U7 and U8 lines. From there, you can reach anywhere in the city in 30 minutes or less - whether it’s Alexanderplatz, Mitte or Friedrichshain.
Nearest airport
If you’re arriving from Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER), it takes around 40 minutes by public transport or about 20 minutes by car or taxi.
Getting Around
The neighbourhood is well connected with buses and bike lanes, and once you’re here, you can easily walk or cycle everywhere - most of the best spots in Neukölln and Kreuzberg are right on your doorstep.
For everyday essentials, you’ll find plenty of shops nearby: Lidl at Hermannplatz, Edeka at Neue Welt, and Kaufland at the Neukölln Arcaden - all less than a 10-minute walk from the flat.

Hi! I’m a 25-year-old creative based in Berlin. I work remotely for part of the year and love discovering new places and ways of living. My central Berlin flat is bright and full of natural light - even when the city isn’t! I’m new to home swapping but have sublet before, and I take great care of other people’s spaces (as I hope they do mine).
