Sint-Truiden (40000+ hab.), est. in 655. A lovely terrace, a wonderful view of the city centre and its towers, its historic buildings or the splendid landscape with many fruit orchards,… enchanting in every season. Besides many historical churches, castles and a city monastry, Sint-Truiden has also 2 UNESCO-heritage sites: the belfry (town hall, Grand Place) and the Beguinage. Don't forget to taste our Belgian beers and visit our 2 homemade brewery's: Kerkom and Wilderen (they also make Gin, Whiskey, Rum etc.). Try also one of the many biking or walking tours! Other towns in the vicinity (max. 30-50 mins by car): Tongeren, Hasselt, Liège, Maastricht, Brussels, Louvain... and 90 mins from Ghent, Bruges.
