General Overview

Our terraced house in the quiet village of Erzhausen is located on the edge of the old village center at the end of a small private cul-de-sac, where children can play very nicely and undisturbed. It has a garage where bicycles and a table tennis table are stored. In summer there is a round pool with a diameter of 4.60 meters. The house has two private parking spaces directly in front of the house.

The Space

The living/dining area invites you to linger and in the cold season it becomes even cozier with a fireplace (wood is available). You are welcome to use the piano.  The kitchen is also very well equipped and was recently renovated and has new appliances. There is also a fully automatic coffee machine, fondue machine, raclette machine, crêpes maker, waffle iron, Belgian waffle iron, cakepop maker, Monsieur Cuisine (comparable to Thermomix), smoothie maker etc  The 3 bathrooms all have a shower and WC. In addition to the bathrooms, there is also a guest WC on the first floor.

The house has two terraces. One is located behind the house and has a lounge seating area and a large awning that covers the entire terrace. The second terrace is next to the house with a large canopy and privacy screen to the neighbors and is equipped with a seating area & table for up to 12 people and a large rollable gas grill and a patio heater. There is a side awning on both sides to protect against draughts. Additional chairs/bench are available.  The garden is easy to maintain and has a nest swing. Further children's toys (Bobby-Car etc) are available in the garden shed.  For bicycle tours there are 6 bicycles available (5 x 28er, 1 x 26er).  In summer there is also a round garden pool (diameter: 4.6 m) and a garden shower.

Notes

Doctors and a pharmacy are in the immediate vicinity. There are several hospitals in Darmstadt and Langen.  

In summer we would be very grateful if some flowers were watered regularly. The lawn and garden beds are watered automatically overnight.

Neighbourhood

Erzhausen is a village of about 8000 inhabitants and has all necessary shopping facilities (Aldi, Rewe, Netto, pharmacy, several bakeries, restaurants ...) and is only 10 minutes away from the highway A5. There is an S-Bahn line that takes you to Frankfurt in 25 minutes and to Darmstadt in 10 minutes. The airport can be reached either by bus/train or by car in 15-30 minutes.  Frankfurt is always worth a visit, but the Rhine-Main region has much more to offer. Erzhausen is centrally located between the Taunus in the north, the Spessart in the east and the Odenwald in the south. Wonderful excursions are possible there, e.g. to the Feldberg in the Taunus or to the Fürstenlager Auerbach in the Odenwald. The Rheingau is also very close by and is particularly worth a visit for wine lovers. Other very interesting cities such as Heidelberg or Mainz can be reached in less than 1 hour.  There are several outdoor swimming pools (Egelsbach, Langen...) and bathing lakes (Langen, Worfelden) in the area.
