General Overview

**We’re planning to stay in the UK from January for around 9–10 months, so for now we’re focusing on UK (specially London/close to London cities) exchanges only.** Welcome to our one-bedroom flat in Costa de Caparica, a laid-back coastal town just across the bridge from Lisbon. We are a couple of digital nomad creatives along with our curious little boy (1.5 years old), we are new to home exchanging and really excited to discover new places while living like locals. We’re looking for a long-term swap (around 3–12 months, starting December 2025 or January 2026 – flexible) with someone based in London or another English city with good airport access. Ideally, a one-bedroom flat or small apartment. Our toddler can sleep with us so no need for a second bed. We used to live in London for over 15 years and still work with UK-based clients, so spending some time back in England would be a great way to reconnect, strengthen our work ties, and visit close friends, before our toddler starts kindergarten. We’ll treat your home as our own, we are a very clean and tidy couple and hope you’ll enjoy our place as a calm base for work and sunshine by the sea. If this sounds like a good match, please get in touch. We’re flexible with dates and happy to arrange a video chat to discuss details.

Neighbourhood

We live in Santo António, Costa de Caparica, a quiet seaside neighbourhood just a short walk from the beach. It’s a lovely area for families and remote workers, peaceful yet close to everything you might need. There are several cafés, pastelarias, and local restaurants nearby, as well as a small park perfect for morning walks or playtime with children. Small supermarkets are just around the corner, and a larger one can be found in the town centre (about a 15-minute walk). The long sandy beach stretches for miles and is great for swimming, surfing, or simply relaxing. In the evenings, enjoy a sunset cocktail or seafood dinner at one of the many beachfront bars and restaurants. Lisbon is close enough for day trips but far enough to enjoy the calm of coastal life.

Getting to my home

Costa de Caparica is easy to reach from Lisbon. By car, it takes about 25–30 minutes via the 25 de Abril Bridge. By public transport, you can take a bus directly from Lisbon (Praça de Espanha or Areeiro), which stops close to the neighbourhood. There’s also a scenic ferry option from Cais do Sodré to Cacilhas, followed by a short bus ride to Costa de Caparica.

Nearest airport

The nearest airport is Lisbon Humberto Delgado Airport (LIS), around 30–35 minutes by car. It’s well connected with flights across Europe and internationally. You can easily reach Costa de Caparica from the airport by taxi, ride-sharing apps, or a combination of metro and bus.

Getting Around

The area is very walkable and bike-friendly. You can reach the beach, cafés, and shops on foot or by bicycle in just a few minutes. There’s free street parking near the flat (first come, first served), and local buses connect Costa de Caparica to Lisbon and nearby towns. If you enjoy cycling, there’s a beautiful coastal bike path that runs along the beaches, perfect for morning rides or exploring the coastline.

Sara

We’re a couple of digital creatives and a almost 2 year old toddler, we are based in Costa da Caparica, Portugal. We both work remotely and enjoy a relaxed, outdoorsy lifestyle close to the sea. We love discovering local cafés, cycling around town, and spending time by the beach. We’re tidy, respectful guests and will treat your home with the same care we give our own. We see home exchanges as a wonderful way to connect with people who share similar values and an appreciation for good design and authentic travel.
