General Overview
After a few stairs our spacious house is a one story rambler with 12 foot vaulted ceilings and the feel of openness. We love the comforts of modern and new in a quiet country setting. Wildlife is in our yard on occasions and when the ocean waves are a bit driven you can hear them from our house. It's a wonderful place to come home to after our travels for work and fun. If you won't have time to clean the home when leaving we ask that you pay for our local cleaner to do it.
The Space
Main bedroom with a King bed. Guest bedroom with a queen bed. Two inch memory foam topper available for both beds if a softer bed is desired. Individual mini split heat/AC units in the bedrooms and great room. Clean, clear well water with a water softener and UV light for a chemical free experience. Main shower has a overhead rain head and hand held wand. Surround sound and 75" television with electric recliners. Garage space for parking indoors. Guest bath has a 6' soaker tub. Dual hot water heaters with a circulation pump for ample and near instant hot water. A massive kitchen space with entire use of one of the two refrigerators, a wide variety of appliances and cooking tools.
Guest Access
From the garage there is a set of 6 stairs to climb. To the front door there is 5 stairs and the separate guest room entrance has 6 stairs. The interior of the home has no steps and is all one level with all tile floors. The lot is basically level. There is ample parking space outside and an attached garage.
Notes
The home is ideal for two people. If you have a couple of guests or children there is the second bedroom, 4 bar stools, and a table that seats 8. But be aware that the television viewing area is set up for two people to sit comfortably and that additional people will have to make due with pulling a chair in to see the show. The home is all electric. We use a septic system for waste water so only toilet paper can be flushed down the toilets.
The entire property and dwelling is absolutely and completely 100% drug free, smoke free, pet free and party free. Please keep alcohol consumption at a controlled and respectful level.

Neighbourhood
Our neighborhood is rural with quiet neighbors on minimum two acre lots. It's spacious and open with the sea air providing a fresh and relatively moderate climate. A safe and very low key area about 2 miles from a quaint touristy seaside town. A walking beach with numerous sea stacks and one of the most picturesque shorelines on the entire Oregon coast. One of the top five golf courses in the nation is in our town. Charter fishing is available.
Getting to my home
You'll need a car to truly appreciate the area and get around. The main coastal highway is route 101 and we are 1/2 mile to the east of it. In a minutes time you can come and go to our home from the main Thorofare.
Nearest airport
The closest airport is a city strip you can fly your personal craft to. A regional is 40 minutes away. A major airport is accessible 2 1/2 hours away in Eugene. Portland international is 4 1/2 hours away.
Getting Around
A few minutes away is two grocery stores and gas. Tesla has a charging station. A Natural Grocers is 35 minutes away and they carry a nice variety of health food choices. There are limited but quality restaurants in town and a couple of fast food chain restaurants.

Brian and Kellin Light. We are new to the community of home exchanging but have travelled to many countries and stayed in dozens of rental homes. We built our dream home in 2021 and reside a mile from the Pacific on the Beautiful Oregon coast. We have been married 42 years (in 2025) and our 4 daughters are out making their own way in the world. We enjoy our home in the country on two acres and believe it to be the perfect base for exploring the wild and scenic coastline. Being a mile and a five minute drive from the beaches puts us in the perfect zone for weather and wind conditions.
