The Space
The house has one large living room with 2 sofa-beds , a fire place , flat TV , A/C . There is a fully equipped small kitchen with fridge. In the attic there is a queen size bed with sea view , a single sofa bed . A nice veranda to enjoy your time .

Top Day Trips (Within a 1-hour drive)Monemvasia A spectacular castle city built on a giant rock island, often called the "Gibraltar of the East." Stroll through the vaulted alleys , explore the Upper Town ruins, or have a nice coffee /lunch at the sea view taverns ~45 minutes by car
Elafonisos Island A day trip for beach lovers. Take a short ferry ride from the Pounta port to the island, to the famous Simos Beach, known for its white sand dunes and turquoise, crystal-clear waters. ~20 minutes drive to Pounta + a short ferry ride
Kastania Cave A natural monument distinguished as one of the richest caves in Europe. You can walk a 500m route through a chamber filled with millions of years of stunning, stalactites and stalagmites.

Getting to my home
By Car From Athens The most direct and flexible way. Take the E65 and A7 highways toward Tripoli and Sparta. The drive is approximately 336 km, 3h50'.
Nearest airport
By Air The nearest major airports are:
Kalamata International Airport (KLX): This airport is closer (approx. 80 km away), but you will need to arrange ground transport , renting a car from Kalamata to Marathias.
Athens International Airport (ATH): From Athens, you would continue your journey by car as detailed above.
Getting Around
In Marathias there are no shops , only taverns that are open most of them during summer season. In Elika village , just 2km , you may find a minimarket , bakery and a pharmacy. Your shopping, if you need more specific things , you will do in Neapoli, a small sea side town 20' away. Its a nice village to visit, nice restaurants cafes and groceries .
