General Overview
We live in the arbutus ridge area of the west side of Vancouver B.C., Canada in a lovely quiet residential neighborhood. It is very easy to get to see the city and is close to lots of points of interest. There is a bus stop two blocks from the house.
Vancouver is a great place to visit for outdoor and cultural adventures.
It is very easy to get to see the city and is close to lots of points of interest. You can ski or hike a mountain and get back in time for dinner at the beach!
Points of Interest Include:
- Three blocks away from a park
- Kitsilano beach is a nine minute drive or 14 minute direct bus ride (also check out Spanish Banks and Jericho Beach to the west)
- University of British Columbia and Pacific Sprit Park with lots of walking trails is 10 minute drive or 23 min direct bus
- Stanley Park and Vancouver Aquarium 17 minute drive or 30 min bus ride
- If you're a mountain lover, Whistler Mountain is only 1h 45 min drive away or if you prefer a local mountain they are about 1 hour drive. (Cypress, Grouse, or Seymour mountain)
- Downtown Vancouver with lots of shopping on Robson street, central business district and Vancouver Art Gallery is a 13 min drive or 30 min bus
If you're a foodie, there is no shortage of multicultural cuisines to try out!
The Space
This one bedroom basement suite is in a self contained part of the house with its own entrance.
You will have your own full bathroom (including tub) and access to a small kitchenette that includes a microwave, toaster oven, mini fridge, coffee maker.
There is also a washer and dryer in the unit.
Our house has a heat pump!
This is best suited for a solo traveller or a couple. Can also do small family of 3 if the 3rd is a baby.
You are also welcome to use the BBQ and the patio in the backyard!

The suite is privately yours during your stay.
You will need to go down several stairs to get to the suite.
Notes
There may be a cleaning fee depending if you do not have time to clean for the next guest if we are not around. We can discuss.

Neighbourhood
Arbutus Ridge/Dunbar
14 min walk (900m) to Strongs grocery store in Dunbar where there are other shops, pharmacy, restaurants. This walk is uphill.
In another direction (less hilly) about 13 mins is another smaller grocery store and two local bakeries.
Getting to my home
We are located 20-25 min by car to Vancouver International Airport (YVR).
By public transportation, it is about 37 mins. Direct bus #25 (a few blocks from our house) to the Canada line sky train which takes you to the airport.

YVR is 9km away.
Getting Around
180 meters (3 min walk) to the nearest bus stop.
