General Overview

Our lovely apartment has a fantastic location in the old town of Vilnius. You'll love our family home because of the coziness and feeling of complete privacy, despite being so close to the main areas Old Town. It is a perfect place to rest and unwind after a day of exploring Vilnius! All photos are from our neighbourhood just outside the building and were taken by us. My favourite months in Vilnius are December, May and September. Pretty much every weekend there is something going on like street music festival, art weekends, etc. Vibe/aura in the city is amazing during that time. July and August are less busier as a lot of locals are out for holidays and generally there are more tourists visiting.

The Space

Apartment is in a new building with elevator. Has all the comfort amenities like an espresso machine, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, TV, AC in all rooms, fast WiFi, Netflix, smart home control, etc. Very comfortable in both winter and summer months. There are 2x bedrooms (2x2m bed and 1.4x2m bed), a bathroom with shower and bidet, small bath for kids, spacious living room with kitchen, a balcony with sofa.

Notes

We are happy to give you advice on things to do and see in Vilnius even if you're not staying with us! We have two cats. If you love cats we'd be glad to leave them with you. Litter box and feeding are automatic so you don't really have to do anything. Otherwise we'll take them to the grandparents :)

Neighbourhood

☕ 🍷Some of the best coffee and dinning places are within 1-5 minutes of walking distance. All four Michelin-starred restaurants in Vilnius are within 5-10 minute walking distance. Dozen of other restaurants, bars from Michelin, Falstaff guides nearby. Michelin-guide wine bar is just outside. 🎨 Museum of modern art "MO" is just outside the apartment building. There are multiple other art or historical museums, monuments, galleries, etc. in the neighbourhood. Train station is nearby if you want to visit former historical capital of Lithuania Trakai. 🌳 Lush park is just across the street with playground for kids, areas for picnic, etc. 🛝Smaller playground is in the apartment building courtyard. 🏪 Supermarket is nearby along with some smaller grocery stores.

Nearest airport

✈️ Vilnius International Airport is 3.5km away, around 15 minute drive. Taxi fare is 6-15€ depending on time of the day.

Getting Around

🚎 Nearest public transport station is within 2 minutes walking distance with buses going every 2-5 mins. 🚲 We also have several electric bikes. One is city-type with adjustable rider height 1.6-1.9m. Another is a family type electric cargo tricycle with seats for 2 children in the front. Cycling is a great way to get around the city and reach some more remote places. Cycling infrastructure is quite good. 🚕 Car share services are available through out the city and there is always multiple cars within 2 minute walking distance. We have 2 reserved spaces in the underground parking if needed. We don't own any cars and use car sharing or taxi ourselves. 🚂 Main train and bus station is within walking distance or public transport buses going every 2-5mins.

Greetings from our small family - 👨me, my wife 👩 Morta, baby 👦Leonardas and two brothers cats 🐈Cunamis and 🐈‍⬛Sanelis! I’ve recently sold my company (not to brag but 🍎 bought it... :))) ) while Morta is on a break from her psychotherapist practice and wants to spend early babyhood with Leonardas so we have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to travel. So far baby Leonardas has visited 🇮🇹Rome, 🇫🇷Paris, 🇪🇸Malaga and 🇬🇷Athens. I’m especially interested in spending time in wine regions and 🍾 Champagne is next on my list. My dream will come true this May as we are planning a trip to Reims! If you're interested in staying with us please let us know. We are likely to accommodate even if calendar doesn't show availability as we are often away for shorter breaks.
