Neighbourhood

There is a renowned restaurant - The Brick Eatery - just a minute's walk away, and The Honest Lawyer pub is a couple of minute's walk beyond that, across the road. We have a stunning walk right from the doorstep, around the peninsular. It's so beautiful here, with mountains and water, mudflats and wading birds, always something new to observe. The loop takes us 40 minutes. We also take a similarly pretty stroll to the airport for coffee, would you believe, 20 mins there and back, or to the golf club 30 minutes away with its gorgeous view across the links, out to sea. Nelson city is about a fifteen minute drive away and Richmond is less than 10 mins away in the opposite direction.

Local supermarkets are 20 minute's walk up the road where you will also find cafes, pharmacy, veggie shop, gift shop, post office etc.

Mac is a retired air traffic controller, and an accomplished armchair sportsman. He belongs to a walking group both here in Sydney and in Nelson NZ . June is a retired teacher, and like to dabble in arty crafty things, read, walk, tai chi, etc. We both enjoy walking to the local cinema, or going to the theatre when available. Because access to the city is so easy we can take advantage of all it has to offer. We have lost count of the number of wonderful home exchanges we have done. We started in the 1980's, hard to believe, and have had some fantastic worldwide experiences along the way. We have family in Perth and in Nelson so we live between the two places and can offer for exchange our 2 bed home in Sydney and/or our one bedroom home in sunny Nelson, NZ.
