Neighbourhood

We are less than five miles from the main entrance to Zion National Park. Zion National Park is amazing, and we’re happy to give you tips for planning your trip. There are lots of great options for hiking, canyoneering, biking, river walking, rock climbing, playing pickleball, golfing, off-roading, rockhounding, horseback riding, star gazing, photography, wildlife viewing, and more. There is great mountain biking at several nearby trail systems including Wire Mesa, Gooseberry Mesa, Guacamole, JEM, and Applecross. Grafton ghost town is 15 minutes away, and is well maintained. Scenes from “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid” were filmed here, and it provides a great backdrop for photos. Springdale is a quaint town with a full-time population of less than 600 people. It has all the basic amenities (grocery store, post office, hardware store, medical clinic, gas stations, library), as well as, numerous restaurants, art galleries, outdoor outfitters, bike rental companies, gift shops, pickleball courts, amphitheater, and more.

Getting Around

It is easiest to have a car, but is also possible to walk, bike, and bus in the area, but you will be somewhat limited. We are 2 miles to the nearest bus stop. The bus is free and runs during most of the year. (Check the national park website to see if it will be running when you want to visit.) You can also bike from our house into Zion NP. There are numerous e-bike rental shops in Springdale.
