General Overview
Our newly bought house, Azure Horizon on the west coast of Barbados, is a holiday retreat boasting spectacular panoramic views of the breathtaking Platinum Coast. Designed for both relaxation and family fun, the villa includes a Teen & Young Adult room featuring four beds (two bunk beds), a cozy TV lounge area, and a private bathroom. With a total of four en-suite bedrooms, a spacious living room, and expansively covered patios that open onto a large private swimming pool, the villa captures the essence of elegant Caribbean living.
The Space
The Master Bedroom features a grand four-poster super king bed, an en-suite bathroom, and generous wardrobe space. Just a few steps up a short corridor, you'll find a second bedroom with a king bed and its own en-suite bathroom. The third bedroom is set up with twin beds. The fourth bedroom, ideal for children, teens and young adults, includes four spacious bunk beds, a TV, and a private en-suite bathroom.
All bedrooms are spacious and air-conditioned, ensuring maximum comfort. The modern kitchen offers stunning views of the coastline and is complemented by an adjoining laundry area. Step outside to the outdoor patio, perfect for enjoying the scenic views, which overlook a beautiful infinity pool. The open-plan layout makes this villa ideal for entertaining, complete with a dedicated barbecue area for relaxed island
Other things to note
Our spacious outdoor patio features a large dining table, perfect for enjoying meals together or gathering for games and relaxed conversation. Nearby, a cozy arrangement of sofas and chairs offers a comfortable spot to unwind while keeping an eye on the kids—or the young-at-heart—enjoying the pool.
For shopping, dining, or exploring, we recommend driving to Holetown, which is approximately 7 minutes away by car, depending on the traffic. While the villa does not include beach club access, all beaches in Barbados are public and easily accessible.
To reach the coast, exit the villa street, turn left, and head downhill—within a 10-minute walk (or a 2-minute drive), you'll arrive at the main road. Thunder Bay Beach is just across the street, and to the left, you’ll find a local fish market. Public transportation, taxis, or rental cars can easily take you to Holetown, Speightstown, or other island hotspots for supermarkets, restaurants, shopping, and a variety of beach experiences.

We are a family of 5. Kids are 18, 16 nd 12 years old. We travel a lot and are looking to stay / swap our house with other people in other places, mostly during the school holidays. Sometimes it would be all of us, sometimes myself and my daughter or a friend.
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
