What We Love About Our Home What makes our home special is the setting — it’s surrounded by nature, with giraffes, zebras, and antelope often wandering past our windows. Every day feels like a private safari without leaving the house. We love the sense of peace here. The mornings begin with birdsong, the afternoons are perfect for relaxing on the patio or by the pool, and evenings are for braais under a wide African sky filled with stars. The house itself is comfortable and welcoming, with big windows that bring the outdoors in. It feels private and secure, yet it’s only a few minutes from Hoedspruit’s shops, cafés, and restaurants. It’s this balance of bush living with modern comfort that makes our home a place we truly treasure.

About Our Family We are Mike and Bianca, a couple living in Hoedspruit, South Africa. Our home is in Raptors View Wildlife Estate, where we share our days with the antelope, giraffe, and birds that wander past our windows. Bianca is an artist who creates large, bold abstract works, while Mike works in the safari and hospitality world. Together we enjoy travel, meeting new people, and experiencing local cultures. We don’t have children living at home anymore, but family is important to us and our house reflects that—it’s warm, comfortable, and welcoming for all. Our Exchange Experience We are new to formal home exchanging, but we’ve hosted many friends, family, and international visitors in our home over the years. We are respectful, tidy, and will look after your home as if it were our own
