We're glad we had a chance to visit St. Augustine, FL because of our exchange with Ellen. Our trip to St. Augustine, FL was full of captivating surprises as I had been unaware of St. Augustine's history before the trip.
We enjoyed visiting St. George St and the surrounding historic district, where beautifully preserved Spanish colonial architecture delight visitors. It's also deeply moving to visit Ponce de Leon's Fountain of Youth Archaeological park, as this is the exact site where the history of St. Augustine began.
St. Augustine also has great restaurants. We tried the Columbia Restaurant, Black Molly Grill, and St. Augustine Fish Camp for lunch/dinner; all were terrific. On our way to the airport, we tried Manatee Cafe for breakfast recommended by Ellen, and really liked it too.
We highly recommend visiting St. Augustine, FL.
Ellen's beautiful house is an idea spot from where to visit this historic coastal city and the beach. It's just a few minutes drive to all the historic spots and the beaches, with many restaurants nearby.
Ellen is a great host. The home was clean and had everything we needed. Communications with Ellen was prompt. I highly recommend Ellen for an exchange to St. Augustine, FL.
