I am a retired teacher having lived in Provence for over thirty years
My "Mas" style provençal home is on a five star golf course with pools , tennis courts and fantastic walks..
With an open plan dining cum sitting room and kitchen it is easy to live in and comfortable. Three upstairs bedrooms, one with en-suite bathroom, the other two are served by a shower room and toilet. The back and front gardens and surrounding greenery are the joy of my life.
It is also a Spa resort where you can enjoy a 15m indoor heated pool, jacuzzis, Turkish bath and sauna. Massage and facials are also on option. We are half-way between the old city of Draguignan and the seaside town of Sainte Maxime with its 15 minute ferry to Saint Tropez. Cannes is half an hour away, Nice Airport 45 minutes.
I am looking for a long term exchange from mid June to mid August 2026, in London, the South East Coast of England and Ireland.
Shorter exchanges October and February 2026.
The Space
My tastes go from reading to art to golf and swimming and my (very personal) style of decorating reflects this. Be prepared for 'busy'...

Neighbourhood
Our village of La Motte was the first village of Provence to be liberated in August 1944 (often called the other D day) - the Parachute Memorial is just next door to the Golf Clubhouse, where General Robert T.Frederick and his "Rugby Force" of 9,000 commandos dropped. Two bronze statues were installed recently, one a tribute to Frederick for the 80th anniversary of the landings, the other a tribute to the French resistance last May, for the 80th of VE Day..
For museums and art galleries, restaurants, bistros and cafés Draguignan is only twenty minutes away - archaeological and 'mémoire locale' museums in our village. And Le Muy (5 minutes) has excellent water sports facilities on the river Argens.
Getting to my home
To get here you can fly, drive or even get the Eurostar to Marseille (in the summer) then a connection to Les Arcs-Draguignan. Off peak Eurostar to Paris and connection to Les Arcs.
Nearest airport
The nearest airport is Nice and at 70 kms takes just under an hour to get there.
Getting Around
At two kms you have the village of La Motte for a small supermarket and a delicatessen and there are also two restaurants.
At three kms you have the town of Le Muy where there are two large supermarkets, and at Les Arcs (15 mins) a Hypermarket, Lidl and the train station.
