General Overview

Our home is nestled in a beautifully maintained complex in the heart of Moreton Bay region on the North side of Brisbane. It is just 35mins into the city! Our home offers the perfect blend of comfort, lifestyle and convenience.

The Space

Our home features 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms with fantastic shared complex facilities including a pool, gym, and BBQ area. There’s also plenty of parking available. Inside, you’ll find comfort year-round with air-conditioning and ceiling fans in the living room and all bedrooms — a must especially for the Queensland summer! Sleeping arrangements: • Main Bedroom – Queen bed with en-suite bathroom • Second Bedroom – Double bed • Third Bedroom – Single bed (will be getting bunks in here shortly so let me know if you need this prior to your stay!) You’ll also enjoy the convenience of a separate laundry with both a washer and dryer. For families, our home is especially welcoming — I have two young daughters (ages 4 & 9) and you’re more than welcome to use their toys, books, and games to keep little ones entertained.

Guest Access

Our townhouse spans two levels: upstairs you’ll find all three bedrooms and bathrooms, while the downstairs features the living area, fully equipped kitchen, laundry, and an extra toilet. Please note: the garage is not available for guest use, as it contains our personal belongings, but there is plenty of parking within the complex.

Notes

Our region has some beautiful places to visit and exciting things to do! • Redcliffe Peninsula (20 mins) - Stroll along the foreshore, enjoy fish & chips on the water, take the kids to swim and play in the lagoon, browse the lively weekend markets, stroll down the jetty and visit Bee Gees Way (a tribute to the legendary band!) • South Bank (35 mins) — Brisbane’s cultural heart, with riverside parks, playgrounds, markets, cafes, and the Wheel of Brisbane. Also features free outdoor pools and beautiful man made beaches - the kids will love it! • Bluey’s World (30 mins) — a must-visit for little ones, where your children can step inside the world of Australia’s beloved cartoon. • Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary (40 mins) — see koalas, feed kangaroos, and meet native wildlife. • Brisbane City (35mins) — enjoy stunning city views on a ferry ride and a unique perspective of Brisbane. Check out the museums, art galleries and more! • Locals love a stroll around Lake Eden which is just a few minutes from our home. Check out the wildlife as you walk around! • Bribie Island (40 mins) – Pristine beaches, calm waters, a butterfly house and national park walks. A great spot for a day trip! • Sunshine Coast (45 -60 mins) – World-class beaches like Mooloolaba and Noosa, hinterland towns such as Montville and Maleny, and family attractions like Sea Life Centre. • Australia Zoo (40 mins) — world-famous wildlife experiences, made even more special by the legacy of Steve Irwin. • Gold Coast (60 - 90 mins) – Theme parks, water parks, surf beaches, vibrant nightlife, and hinterland escapes such as Lamington National Park & Tamborine Mountain. Fantastic for a day trip or night away. • Moreton Island (ferry from Brisbane) – Snorkelling, sandboarding, and dolphin feeding for a unique coastal adventure. • Outdoor & Nature – Take a scenic drive to Glass House Mountains National Park or explore the peaceful trails at Brisbane Forest Park.

Getting to my home

Our townhouse is well-connected with bus stops right outside the complex that service locally and link to nearby train stations. That said, to make the most of exploring the Moreton Bay region, Brisbane and beyond, having a car is highly recommended. With your own transport, you can easily enjoy day trips to places such as Redcliffe, the Sunshine Coast, or the Gold Coast with ease.

We are a family of three — myself and my two daughters (aged 4 & 9). Originally from the UK but now call Australia home. We love to travel and the girls are enthusiastic little globetrotters. We love exploring new places and meeting people from all over! Home exchanges are a new adventure for us, and we’re excited to begin arranging wonderful exchanges!
