General Overview

In the countryside, while being 5 minutes from Jonzac, our cottage is located on our vineyard conducted in organic farming. We are 5 minutes from the West Indies, Jonzac and the Thermal Baths. If you wish to do a spa treatment in Jonzac, you are welcome for 3 weeks during the available green or blue periods. Adjoining our house, it is located in the oldest wing of our Charente farmhouse in cut stone. We renovated it a few years ago, a little atypical, it is the old cheese factory, "yogurt maker" of the farm according to our grandmother. This winter, come and discover the distillation of Cognac and our still by our side!

The Space

It includes everything on the ground floor if you are alone or as a couple: a bedroom with a 140 cm bed, a small shower room with toilet and a living room with a kitchen area. Upstairs in a mezzanine room where there is a 140x190 bed and a BZ sofa. The accommodation is well suited to a couple or a small family. We are not fans of modern kitchen and cleaning robots, you will of course have everything you need to cook but we are more of a pressure cooker than a food processor or filter coffee and not pods or capsules. Note that the electric oven is a small oven to be placed. On sunny days there is a barbecue on the terrace. Exposure to the rising sun, a very pleasant terrace in summer, you are in a green setting. We are happy to lend toys, books and games for children. (With 3 children we have stock!) The gîte is in a wing of the farm, it is semi-detached with our house and another gîte. However, each has its own garden and outdoor terrace. You can meet in the courtyard or in the alley. Everyone is happy to be quiet here!

Guest Access

Everything is on the ground floor. Additional sleeping space on the mezzanine.

Notes

The property is on our vineyard in organic conversion. Winegrowers and distillers on our family estate, there will always be someone to help you discover our cellar in Cognac, our vineyard, the harvest in September/October, the distillation of Cognac from November to the beginning of February and our summer activities.

Sylvie

We are Sylvie and Hugues, in their forties, accompanied by our children (born 2002, 2005, 2011). Today, we mostly travel with three people. We take our summer holidays in August and are open to all destinations accessible by car or plane from Bordeaux. Search, reciprocal exchange or globe exchange. See you soon! Accustomed to exchanges, we are interested in reciprocal exchanges, simultaneous or not, and in the exchange of "globes". All destinations in France and Europe interest us, capitals and countryside, sea and mountains. For abroad, we prefer for the moment the neighboring countries or in Europe the possible departures from Bordeaux airport, but why not go further! Winegrowers and distillers in Charente Maritime, we like to introduce our beautiful Haute Saintonge and exchange our main house or our gîte. (we have two sheets). For us, home exchange is trust and simplicity: I would like to point out that we do not want financial supplements to intervene in our exchanges (cleaning, laundry, electricity for example) and this in both directions. We believe that everyone will take care of our home as if it were their own. We will leave your home leaving it in the condition we found it and we know that our guests will do the same, trust is the basis of the exchange! See you soon!
