General Overview

This is our hidden gem and a true escape from the outside world. The cottage is located in Hälsingland, about 350 km north of Stockholm. It is our second home, but it is fully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. In the surrounding area, there is plenty to do — or you can simply do nothing at all. It’s that kind of place.

The Space

In the main building (the old barn), there is a bedroom with a double bed. In the combined kitchen and living area, there is a sofa bed that sleeps two people. There is also a guest house with a bunk bed and a sofa bed. In addition, the glass room has a sofa bed. One of the houses has a sauna. The kitchen is fully equipped. In the main building, there is a bathroom with a shower and an incinerating toilet. We also have a small boat and some fishing equipment. During the summer, the lake temperature is usually around 20–25°C, depending on the weather. It’s wonderful to take a refreshing morning swim or a cooling dip after using the sauna.

Neighbourhood

The cottage is very private. The nearest neighbor is about 200 meters away, with forest separating the houses. Hälsingland is known for its natural beauty, and there is plenty to see and do in the area. In Järvsö, about 30 minutes away by car, you can visit Järvzoo and experience Swedish wildlife in its natural environment. Stenegården is also well worth a visit. The area offers several charming cafés and restaurants. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can try downhill biking, and there is also a zipline nearby. Getting Around

10 minutes away by car is Ljusdal, where you can find everything you need, several grocery stores, restaurants, etc.
