Our little paradise is a 92 m² two-storey holiday home located in Felsőörs, on the Balaton highlands, surrounded by forests and vineyards in a tranquil setting. It is also close to lake Balaton which is Central Europe's largest lake.
This is a charming and cozy retreat, ideal for families, couples or friends who value peace, nature and simplicity.

The Space

On the ground floor there is a living room, a fully equipped kitchen with gas stove, electric oven, microwave, and a coffee machine with built-in grinder, as well as a bathroom with shower and toilette. 
Upstairs there are two bedrooms:

The larger bedroom has a double bed and a pull-out bed with two 90×200 cm mattresses, providing a comfortable double sleeping space. From here you can access a large covered balcony with stunning views of part of Lake Balaton, the surrounding hills, forests and vineyards.

The smaller bedroom features one pull-out bed, best suited for two children, and two single beds, each 90×200 cm.


Hot water is provided by an electric boiler. On cooler days, a wood-burning stove heats the entire house, with additional heating from an electric and an oil radiator. Please note that there is no air conditioning.
There is no Wi-Fi or TV channels, but the TV can be connected to your own device or USB drive for watching movies.
Free parking next to the house

Guest Access

Guests will have full access to the entire home: all bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, living and dining areas, the terrace and the garden. The last 500 meters to reach our home is along a gravel and grassy road. For the past 11 years, all cars have accessed it without problems; only after heavy rain it can feel a little less comfortable, but it is still passable. On hot summer days, our flowers and trees appreciate a little watering – they reward you with their beauty.

Notes

We kindly ask our guests to leave the house tidy before departure. We will arrange professional cleaning after each stay so that everything is fresh for the next exchange. Our two dogs and cat are part of the family, but they will be cared for elsewhere during exchanges, so guests do not need to look after them.

Neighbourhood

Our home is located in a quiet and safe village near Lake Balaton. In the area you will find opportunities for cycling, walking, visiting small authentic villages and enjoying Hungarian food. The lake is only a short drive away, with beaches, sailing and restaurants. At the same time, the neighbourhood is calm and not crowded with tourists.

Getting to my home

The house is easy to reach by car. The last 500 meters is a gravel and grassy road, which is normally accessible for all cars. Parking is available in the yard. If arriving without a car, local buses connect to nearby towns, but a car is recommended to explore the area comfortably.

Nearest airport

The nearest international airport is Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport, about 1.5 hours by car. Vienna International Airport is also an option, approximately 2.5 hours by car."

Getting Around

A car is recommended to explore the Balaton region and its surroundings. Local buses run between nearby villages and towns, and trains connect the region to Budapest. Bicycle routes are also available for those who enjoy cycling around the lake."
