General Overview

Foxy House offers a unique countryside escape in the charming village of Baardskeerdersbos, set on the owner’s property. Surrounded by rolling hills, fynbos, and wide-open skies, this retreat is ideal for guests seeking peace, simplicity, and a closer connection to nature.

The cottage accommodates up to 4 guests and features 1 bedroom furnished with a queen-size bed. A single sleeper couch in the lounge provides additional sleeping space for 1 guest, while a single mattress can be arranged on request. The shared bathroom is fitted with a shower, basin, and toilet. Linen and bath towels are provided.

The living area includes a kitchen equipped with a fridge-freezer, 2-burner gas stove, essential cutlery and crockery, as well as tea- and coffee-making facilities. The kitchen is open plan to the lounge which offers a wood-burning fireplace.

Outside, guests can unwind on the covered patio with comfortable seating and make use of the communal braai area. 

The village offers plenty to explore, including horse riding, a café showcasing local art and great coffee, a pub-style restaurant, and a pizzeria. At the top of the village, a lively Farmer’s Market takes place on the last weekend of every month. Secure parking is provided.

Guest Access

There are 1 to 3 steps to enter the flat depending on how you come in.  But if you need a ramp, we can make it happen.

Notes

There are two dogs on the property, very well behaved and friendly.  They also offer great security!

Getting to my home

Driving here is the best option, but one can organise a shuttle from Cape Town.

You can walk around the village as we are on the main road.  Driving or biking is also possible.
