Neighbourhood

Greensborough is a quiet, safe and friendly neighbourhood. Our house is a 5 minute walk from Greensborough Plaza, which is a large suburban shopping centre offering supermarkets and all order of shops and medical and other services, including restaurants and movie theatres. Watermarc is has a local indoor swimming pool and gym located 10 mins walk away. There are many walking tracks within minutes of our house which follow the Plenty River.

Getting Around

We are a 10 minute walk from Greensborough train and bus station. Travel cards can be purchased at Greensborough Station. The daily fare for unlimited travel on buses and trains costs approximately $15 adults, $5 for Seniors and Children. Trains to the city go every 20 minutes with the journey taking 40 minutes, giving easy access to all Melbourne's historical, and tourist attractions. The CBD offers free tram service within the Central City Zone. Melbourne City hosts many major events eg Test Cricket and AFL football at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, the Australian Tennis Open, Festivals, the Formula One Grand Prix, Golf and Horse Racing including the famous Melbourne Cup held on the first Tuesday in November. City parking is expensive and costly. If guests have a car, we are located only: 35 minutes from the Yarra Valley Wine growing region 1 - 2 hours from Bay or Surf beaches. 50 mins to Healsville Animal Sanctuary Less than an hour to Kinglake National Park or the Dandenong Ranges. 2 hours to Sovereign Hill, Historical Museum, Ballarat
